I guess in the end it's kinda funny that Bunny called out the 2 remaining aliens, but it's still (1) sort of metagaming and kinda sleazy even if not technically against the rules and (2) so so so dumb because he could have just been outing town PRs.

GM Thoughts:
This was a difficult and demanding setup to adjudicate, which I had anticipated, but it turned out to be a little more stressful than I'd allowed for.
Partly, this was due to the discovery, mid-game, of webDip's fucking stupid "Who Is Online" feature which exposes not only who is online but what they are doing, and which even some of the Mods / Admins appear to have been unaware was there. This caused a quite understandable flurry of concerned PMs from players who initially thought BunnyGo, who mentioned it in thread, was cheating. As far as I'm concerned, he wasn't, and he even had a chat with me by PM to explain where he was getting the info from - and I'm grateful to Bunny for that. Nonetheless that was a really weird and unwelcome thing to discover and I worried I might have to suspend the game or completely replace PM-ing of orders. As it turned out, we got by okay.
Secondly, I made a mistake. When resolving N3 I accidentally gave Vecna the wrong scan result on EMC, and only corrected myself when he'd mentioned it in the thread. I am grateful to Vecna for his calm and helpful response when I had to urgently message him to correct my error. I hate making mistakes and hold myself to a high standard of GM-ing, so at the time this actually upset me quite a bit.
Having said all that, it was also an interesting game to run for you, and I had fun writing some of the flavour, even if it was a little disjointed in places. I am pretty pleased with the closing flavour. Let me know what you thought of it.
Commiserations to the Aliens and the Mafia, and well done to Town. I have some comments on the various teams' play, but I'll leave that til a bit later.

You're honestly a great GM Jamie. Thank you for running this.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
We should not celebrate yet. We need to be aware there could be 5 more bad guys still
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
GG all, I actually had quite a bit of fun trying to survive untill the very end and being as much of a buffoon as possible in the process.
Thanks for gm'ing it Jamiet and Darg. Seemed like a fun setup, even though I was not able to give it as much time as it deserved in the initial stages.

Now I can go to the God Thread and visualize all the shit I heaped upon myself.
I got lazy once work consumed me. Relied on others to do the work and thought I could keep coasting as doctor, just making sure I had a sense of who to visit each night.

Love that ghug was just plain old vt. After last game, just seemed to be a nice, fitting, comfortable role for them.

Jamie was a superhero in the GM seat. The list of total POSSIBLE roles all had to be 'dealt with' in addition to the actual roles. And we had to answer the (myriad of) questions carefully refraining from revealing our MINDS' natural position... "Why are you asking about weird combinations concerning roles that do not even exist!?!?!" You'd expect that to be easy. But it is not.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 12:00 amGM Thoughts:

The flavour (because a Brit wrote it, not 'flavor') was clever, spot-on, and entertaining. The disjointed nature of the flavour was due to my attempts to add some taste, while not moving the actual story line in any measurable direction. It went fairly well, I think, until I had a distracted couple of days in which I did not pay attention to some of the details of the developing case. Sorry, Jamie... and well done connecting the dots I threw at the script.
We also had some odd bot troubles, which added a distraction to the game. We never want to bot to 'play a part' in the game, any more than we desire the GM's to do so. But the deletion of some spam threw the count off. And later, some repeated statements confused our bot-brain. So apologies... the management of the bot continues to be a learning experience.
MANY well played roles. It looked like you were having a lot of fun. Thank you all for signing up and playing!
The next game will be posted soonish. It is being composed by ND, and is part two of his previous game about Area 51. Watch the main mafia thread for details.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Bwahaha. That was a fun and rather apt ending to this game.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
For the record; I was originally going to self-target as parrot after M/KILO and induce infinite recursion that stalls and ends the game forever, so that the game would result in eternal tie due to night actions being unable to finish processing.
EMC targets EMC giving EMC another action to target EMC giving EMC another action to target EMC giving...
However, Jamie nuked my plans when I asked. Alas.
