Sorry I've been totally inactive today. Weekend again, and I'm a bit tired too. I'm having a little trouble engaging with the thread for some reason. Perhaps it's because it's mostly turned into a mech puzzle while we root out the remaining scum, which is not particularly interesting. Somebody asked earlier, I think Maniac is reasonably likely to be alien. Can't say for sure yet unfortunately.

I think after celaph, we're back to mafia without a mech puzzle.

Some are cleared, but we also don't know how many scum we're hunting and who their teammates are.

I guess so yeah. Just seems like not much is happening right now. Not really feeling it.

Also listen up, we need to start an Ezio wagon at some point. I know this has somewhat fallen out of fashion, but everything that was said about this when it was in fashion still applies

No it doesn't. There was an attempted kill the night I was roleblocked. This was the only mechanical reason against me and was a huge factor in the wagon. It does *not* apply anymore.

So I've thought about this for a bit. You all should put absolutely no weight on Celaph claiming I'm town. I've thought about it, and that is what they should say regardless of my alignment.

If I'm alien, I'm on their team and they want(s? Idk the grammer here) to call me town to keep me alive as long as possible.
If I'm town but they say(s?) I'm mafia, you guys dk them the day after I flip.
Here's the odd one. If I'm mafia, they wants to keep me alive. If all the mafia die while there are more townclears than aliens+2, town has autowin. If Celaph knew I was mafia, they would therefore keep me around by claiming I'm town.

I think we need to be more careful of Aliens+mafia now than we have been. I believe they are both solidly on the same team now as they *need* a ton of townies to die before any more of them do.

Our optimal dk hit here would def be a mafia.

However, let's suppose Celaph hits someone that is actually mafia and gives their team that information. It enables them to work together with perfect information (I'm assuming only 1 mafia left, but the aliens would be able to sheep the one mafia off of the other mafia if there were 2 left). I think the parrot (or whomever rb'd Celaph) did a great job preventing the scan last night, and I completely had missed this by last night.

I believe this warrants dk'ing Celaph here. It doesn't help us get to the autowin because mafia will still probably get their NK, reducing the townclear pool by 1 as well, but it also doesn't hurt us get to the autowin vs aliens.

@Ghug it was your question about "why celaph would keep getting rb'd repeatedly". At first I assumed it was a mafia roleblocker who did it. My instinct would be that they would simply RB them again and again.
Then I realized the mafia actively wouldn't want to RB Celaph for the reasons I outlined earlier.
Then I realized the RB on Celaph must have been a town PR and I started wondering why the town PR rb'd our "cop".

@Damo - I discarded Vanilla Town. I claimed my role as a discard hoping aliens or scum would assume i must have a higher ranking role and try and NK me. My plan being to guess right and commute when attacked. As I know I won't be attacked in next 3-4 nights now is a good time for town to track me so if their are any kills I'm cleared of being a killer.

Well there's a lot wrong with this. First of all, I firmly believe aliens need mafia to keep night killing, but let's take what you say at face value. For the sake of argument, let's say aliens want to stop mafia NK's.
If that were true, you should not DK me because we have an alien with a cop scan on me claiming that I am not mafia. If you believe aliens want to get rid of all the mafia, you should trust an alien's cop claim to narrow the pool of potential mafia members. Your argument is terrible and you should feel bad.

In this political reality, we understand that everyone needs to get in her virtue signal from time to time, I have felt the same way myself and can hardly begrudge those who wish to take a stand. When push comes to shove they of course understand this point you've written, but until then it's a big game of chicken each can ratchet up, in their desire to win successive rounds of purity testing.

It's all beside the point as I've proven an excellent member of town that more people would understand if we increased our education budget rather than funding three or four different varieties of cop who are violent, libellous and not that clever as evidenced by their handicaps in detecting the full range of scum (unlike me)

How do we know he didn't kill? We only have his word he was roleblocked and that could be a ruse to deny us info from scan and deceive us about who killed kgray. i see Celaph killing Kgray for shits and giggles
