Why didn't you *know* the underdog role was an option?ghug wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:03 pmI don't see where you got the impression that I didn't use that information to learn about which roles are in the game?kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:59 pmI don't get how town!ghug is RB'd and doesn't use that information to learn about what roles may or may not be in the game or to solve in any way. Like how could you not have checked these things?
I think you were trying to appear not to have as much information as you did.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Yup. And I think you two were scumreading each other D1, and that all suddenly vanished at night, especially with celaph coming in with that incredibly weak "ghug is town for not caring about which townie dies" defense.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill. I didn't know what the role was called or how it worked, because I had only heard about it from HR after fishy died, and I only searched for the word "roleblock" on page one.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:05 pmWhy didn't you *know* the underdog role was an option?ghug wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:03 pmI don't see where you got the impression that I didn't use that information to learn about which roles are in the game?kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:59 pm

Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Didn't I actively encourage a vig shot on celaph?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
If you knew about the role that takes the first dead PR's powers, and you later searched for "roleblock" and that search brought up the first dead PR, then it's a pretty easy connection to make that one possible RB is that mafia role.ghug wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:07 pmI think you're making a mountain out of a molehill. Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I also rebutted bozo's clearing of celaph for not claiming and was pretty compelled by the contrasts to his excellent performance on the block in his first game, so it's not really clear to me where you got the idea that my scumread dropped off.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Okay. But how often do vigs listen to this kind of thing?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Which is why I mentioned it when I was listing the roleblock options?kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:11 pmIf you knew about the role that takes the first dead PR's powers, and you later searched for "roleblock" and that search brought up the first dead PR, then it's a pretty easy connection to make that one possible RB is that mafia role.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Ohhhh celaph couldn't claim because he didn't know what his role was!!
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Not terribly uncommonly actually, but it's more that the characterization of it "suddenly vanish[ing] at night" is inaccurate, as I was clearly expressing a desire to see celaph dead.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
But to answer your point: you haven't pushed him at all today, despite him being one of your 3 scumreads from D1 (one of which was lfischl). And I definitely buy that you'd be more subtle in your read changing than he would.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Or because he was straight up scum on a small team who'd already claimed a discard, which would suggest that he either actually discarded the goon or that the role he discarded was verifiable.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I've only pushed two people so far today, and both were attempts to put pressure on lurkers. I don't think that's a fair expectation.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:17 pmBut to answer your point: you haven't pushed him at all today, despite him being one of your 3 scumreads from D1 (one of which was lfischl). Okay, I'm going to stop taking over the thread with this. I think we should kill celaph today so we can know asap if town can trust their scans. If celaph is actually town then that sucks, but I don't think he is, and I think it's worth it to know about the psychotrooper role regardless.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I'm on board with this. I don't really want it to become me vs. celaph with over a day left in the day though, so I'm gonna stay on Maniac for now.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:24 pmMaybe.

Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I am offended for kgray that ghug felt she would be the easier one to mindwarp out of eliminating him.
Do you really think I cant be reasoned with ghug, or sorry, I mean bamboozled?

Celaph ISO is really good. Hes engaged, asking people about votes, discussing playstyles of bona and ghug to name a few.
What is so scummy in here?
