He's very smart, but he struggles to convince people of things, so he's very hit or miss as any alignment.
He got me to give him the win as scum at KILO once by not posting for nearly the whole phase after I came in scumreading him.

Oh. I thought you were just exaggerating. That's impressive.Ezio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:19 am6 mafia games 4 mafia wins
17 town games 11 mafia games
When I win this game as town, they'll both be 2/3 wins.

Uh I may have typoed it out. It's supposed to say 17 town games 11 town wins.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:20 amOh. I thought you were just exaggerating. That's impressive.

Okay so Ezio is a combo of Bunny and HR.Ezio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:15 amI'm a god at both. My winrate is basically identical on both as well.Donny Dude wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:14 amCan someone who has played with ezio know if he is better as scum/town and which one he enjoys more?

I think your approach to mafia is not the best approach for town. Your conviction pushing your approach anti town approach leads to many losses for town. Many very smart people have been convinced they are correct and gone very far down their rabbit hole.

For example: Ezio always advocates a day 1 no-kill.Ezio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:23 amI don't think your an idiot. I'm sorry I made you feel that.

I thought there was a setup I was in once where I didn't make that push b/c of the number of players in the setup and town had a doctor so if doc made a safe we got one extra daykill.ghug wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:24 amFor example: Ezio always advocates a day 1 no-kill.Ezio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:23 amI don't think your an idiot. IIRC this was a discord game where y'all killed me b/c I refused to send a message that I knew was objectively scummy as town and y'all saw "ezio is typing a message", and then I delteted it. It's possible I've gotten the discord games mixed up though.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I find that people do not fight strongly enough for their opinions and town loses games as a result
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Probably was my last game on here, which was at least 1.5 years ago? I think I took a reasonable break before that one too, so idk.Donny Dude wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:26 amEzio when is the last time you played with brainbomb?Ezio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 6:23 amI don't think your an idiot. As I've said before, I townlean ghug for his vote movement and thought that I haven't seen from scum ghug.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 3:51 amWhy do you townread ghug? Do you townread damo at all or is it only that he claimed non-VT? Do you think Maniac's votes/justifications are unlike what he did as town in the games you've played with him?celaph wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 10:00 pmTo answer your first question, the short answer is because I felt hopeless, didn't believe that I would live. The votes against me, at least those that have been explained, were gut/meta reads. Bona because I'm more jovial. You because I'm less confident. I can't push back against something like that in an instant. I convince you by how I play the rest of the game. It doesn't help that I don't have any mechanical info to work with.
I don't have a good answer to your second question. I remember the thought crossing my mind with roughly 5 minutes less, but I didn't get further than I blank message.
In terms of reads:
Likely town: you (kgray) and Bob.
Lean town: Bona, Donny, bb, and ghug. Donny is the person on this list who I remember the least of, but reading his iso he has asked a lot of good questions. This night he has done a better job turning those questions into statements which I like and hope to see more of.
Lean town/don't want to kill yet: Bunny, Damo, and Vecna. I've separated these out because while I lean them town for now, the value of the reasons will fall off later on. Vecna is here because of the value of town Vecna and I think his behavior tonight shows confidence. Bunny and Damo are the town non-VT claims. This gives them some credit, but given the set-up far less than it would in previous games.
Shade town: HR.
Null: Most everyone else. Of people of note, I think Jasnah is worth watching because she has been insightful on some points though her behavior is generally anti-town.
Shade scum: Maniac and Ezio for their poorly justified votes at the end. Jasnah and Damo also fit that description, but I think Jasnah has contributed slightly more than either of them and damo has claimed non-VT.
In terms of Damo I think his content has been very weak. They're virtually all short comments that show little thought or insight which makes claiming PR with 30 hours left in D1 easily the towniest thing he has done.
Regarding Maniac, I agree with rdr's earlier post that they went unnoticed most of D1, though it makes me concerned when I'm scumreading Maniac for what would otherwise be towny behavior.
