It's less this specific moment that's making me feel this way and more the adopted swagger from the second half of D1, and the way he reacted to my vote.Ezio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:18 amI agree with that. BB also puts on acts when he's scum to fit our meta read of him. They're used to be very easy to spot, and he hasn't done them yet.
I think the townread is accurate, but I disagree with the rationale.

I just don't feel like he's trying, as either alignment really, and I think he's scum who is sick of being scum. I can't think of any original takes he's had, I don't feel like we're bouncing ideas off of each other like we did in M62, and he's not even trying to take credit for my points.
He's just... around. And I think he's trying to do things that make him look towny, and I'm not buying it.

@Ghug
@kgray
Since you're both around I have some fun information for y'all to play with.
I discarded the town's doctor.

I think they're going to be hunting each other, yes, but they still mostly just need to hang back and not die. Part of that also depends on how many are on each team, I think, but in general it's harder in this game to figure out who's faking it because they can still be "solving" but at the end of the day it's not their priority.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 4:44 amSo do you think the scumteams are going after each other, since the town is going to be chasing its own tail the first few days?
I don't really care about which category they come from, but I find the lfischl voters scummier in general.Should we push a 2nd lfischl wagon voter or a celaph voter today?

I already basically outed them, so there's not much more point in beating around the bush.

Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Love it.
Here's a question for anyone around: Should the paranoid gun owner claim?
Pro: Saves town investigatives and doctors from accidntally getting shot
Pro: I don't think they can be killed without taking enemies out first (someone check me on this)
Con: They don't use their power offensively
But...could be nice?

I think emc uses a lot of meta (like detailed, specific styling meta) reads so that's pretty normal. The lack of effort is not, though.Donny Dude wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:05 amI feel like emc reads were just people he has played with a lot.

You disagree that we only have 1 scum team, and an SK or 2?kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:29 amI think they're going to be hunting each other, yes, but they still mostly just need to hang back and not die. Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I pretty strongly disagree with this. Since it's day 2 I feel more comfortable talking about optimal scumplay since they've already been able to talk in their QT.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:29 amI think they're going to be hunting each other, yes, but they still mostly just need to hang back and not die. I think they absolutely should be at the forefront of scumhunting, leading the charge as much as possible on the other team.
It's normally a bad idea to scumhunt as scum b/c you have perfect information and it's very hard to look natural while doing it. It's very difficult to tunnel convincingly when you know you're talking out of your ass, for example. If you get caught with extra information, it's lights out.
In this game, scum have limited information. I believe they absolutely should be pushing as much as they possibly can as frequently as they possibly can because of how much easier it is. Their priority is obviously getting townread still, but scumhunting (and catching a scum) is probably the #1 way to get townread on this forum.

Treating a small scumteam as an sk is a bad approach to take because they have more than 1 vote and almost certainly have various special abilities that they can use to screw with townBunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:35 amYou disagree that we only have 1 scum team, and an SK or 2?kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:29 amI think they're going to be hunting each other, yes, but they still mostly just need to hang back and not die.
