I'm not interested in letting brainbomb dominate the day with fake mason claims.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:00 amThey're hardtown clear, and he knows it since he was talking about how we shouldn't out the masons, but he doesn't believe that Demon is a mason???

I feel like emc reads were just people he has played with a lot.

Because Masons voting as a bloc is as nonsensical as scum voting as a bloc.
I'd maybe play along, but brain can suck the air out of everyone else's lungs with these things, and I'm too stoned to stand for it.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
And no, I still think brain is town. He plays a tad more cautiously as scum.

There was a much better argument for it d1. At this point we have 2 flips and all the wagons from d1 to look at.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 4:53 amSom final thoughts before I sleep:
I don't understand why we're not claiming doc-saves. Someone may have been saved last night.
Nobody claimed can't vote?
Are we claiming vanilla'd? Do we get told if we're vanilla'd if we're already vanilla? ##call gm
Some thoughts on roles in play: Nobody claimed that they pitched the serial killer. This is too important for town to be sitting on. It strikes me that the mafia team is so small that if it exists they are effectively a serial killer.
So I suggest people start changing their mental attitudes of this game, because I expect the aliens did last night:
this game has
a town
a "mafia team" (the aliens) which cannot kill us
1-2 serial killers (the mafia and the actual serial killer)
This is odd.
This is very odd.
We probably have lots of investigators. There's an argument to no-killing in this strange environment and letting the serial killers shoot town and alien alike while the investigators have extra days to investigate.
I'd be shocked if town's best bet here is to nokill.

Town
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
This looks like more cautious brainbomb to me. It's d2 and he's only softed claims, rather than hardclaiming.

K, Ezio, soft claiming a role like that would be not a good play as scum as it is easily cc right?

Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
When he's scum, his goal is to further his team in the game. He'll act erratically when he feels pressured or to PR fish. When he's town, his goal is reactions and drawing a nightkill. I see more of that here.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Softing a role is bad play as any alignment, so softing is NAI.Donny Dude wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:11 amK, Ezio, soft claiming a role like that would be not a good play as scum as it is easily cc right?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I agree with that. BB also puts on acts when he's scum to fit our meta read of him. They're used to be very easy to spot, and he hasn't done them yet.
I think the townread is accurate, but I disagree with the rationale.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
BB would hardclaim d2 b/c bb likes to hardclaim.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I mean, it's not black and white. I don't townread ghug and he was all over the place. It's just that I know that I was trying to see what would happen by getting different wagons going, and seeing how they felt in terms of the general resistance to the wagon, and adjusting my reads based on who felt like they were doing that too. It's a way to find people who are thinking like me. And in the end, all that made me townread *you* so... if you're actually town then it was pretty significant in that sense too lol.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 4:34 amThis is the towniest kgray post yet. scum!kgray never wrote a post like this that I recall.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 4:32 amSo I only skimmed this before EoN but I really like this post from Bona. He is definitely hunting (for *two* scumteams), he's looking at different angles, and he's solidly town imo.
@bona, I will say that I think your lack of scum experience is influencing your conclusions. You made some similar comments in your first game about scum coordinating to get people killed, and I think what you don't realize is that scum don't have to do that. Even with two teams, in general, all they really have to do is stay under the radar and let town kill themselves. That's what I meant D1 with "town is the biggest threat to town."
In general, pushes to change up the votes at EoD like that are town. Absolutely, sometimes they're scum saving each other. But in my experience that happens a lot less frequently than town trying to figure out what the right vote is.
Anyway, I like your points about the people who joined lfischl wagon #2. I think it's possible that people were saving celaph. However, I also think it's possible that scum voted path of least resistance, thinking an lfischl vote was easier to justify than a celaph vote. I certainly townread everyone moving back and forth between Bunny and Rivera and celaph more than those who jumped on random wagons near the end.
I'm not sure how I feel about the jumping around conclusion. It's a tell of mine in previous scum games that I don't jump. But last game we had scum jumping all over.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I don't have an opinion on brain's antics. I don't approve of how fake I think you're being this game.
