Makes sense thanks, I like it.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 4:44 amAssuming scum!HR wouldn't lie about his discard for fear of being called out, he has to *know* that scum drew the loud mafia role. That means either he had it (and kept or discarded it) or he's scum and one of his teammates kept it, because D1 he wouldn't know what his teammates discarded.
The loud role tells people when they visit. If HR said he discarded it but actually kept it, his role is virtually useless, because he'd have to convince people he is a loud town role, which is obviously risky and has a good chance at a CC.
If HR claimed to discard it because his teammate actually has the role, then if his teammate flips first, HR would be found to be a liar and would be killed next.
So there's no way that scum could have the loud mafia role, unless HR is an idiot and playing super sub-optimally, and say what you want about HR but that's not what happened. So anyone who visits someone and is heard because they're loud is virtually towncleared.

How dare I not want people to openly discuss the identities of the Masons?

I already basically outed them, so there's not much more point in beating around the bush.

Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
How is hunting for two potential scumteams any different than hunting for one when we have no flipped scum?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Because I can't base reads on whether people are actually hunting scum.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
its because scum wants cred for killing aliens but aliens get better cred for killing scum. tbf this isnt actually mafia its fun tho

Som final thoughts before I sleep:
I don't understand why we're not claiming doc-saves. Someone may have been saved last night.
Nobody claimed can't vote?
Are we claiming vanilla'd? Do we get told if we're vanilla'd if we're already vanilla? ##call gm
Some thoughts on roles in play: Nobody claimed that they pitched the serial killer. This is too important for town to be sitting on. It strikes me that the mafia team is so small that if it exists they are effectively a serial killer.
So I suggest people start changing their mental attitudes of this game, because I expect the aliens did last night:
this game has
a town
a "mafia team" (the aliens) which cannot kill us
1-2 serial killers (the mafia and the actual serial killer)
This is odd.
This is very odd.
We probably have lots of investigators. There's an argument to no-killing in this strange environment and letting the serial killers shoot town and alien alike while the investigators have extra days to investigate.
