When a role that thinks it's VT (IE Miller or Tentacled Townie) dies, will its true role get revealed or will it still show as a Vanilla Townie?

Also, the Miller role PM doesn't actually say it scans as mafia on cop reports. Does it scan mafia?

Neither the Miller role or the Tentacled Townie role in this setup is a Death Miller. I am not that much of a bastard. They flip accurately, as their true Miller/Tentacled role, if killed.

Technically a Death Miller flips as a Mafia Goon when daykilled rather than as VT, but fair enough anyway

depends on if scum qt has all members listed at game start along with their roles and discards, then you couldve just followed someone elses lead on a role swap to whatever was left. im not saying you masterminded such a plan but someone else could have started the process leaving you with only one selection left

That seems like a great way for scum to auto-lose after one of them gets killed.

have you ever played as scum with me? im not claiming to be scum but there are crazy plays that can happen, like claiming cop with an inno on the actual cop in hopes of swining the elim onto a vt who ends up surviving and the real cop carries the town as your whole team dies.

crazy presssure cooker moments people do crazy things like look at a maf qt and claim their buddys discard. call it gambits.

its highly unlikely and a hail mary move but these things can occasionally happen.

in our champs game our most vulnerable scum team member claimed he tracked a player visiting another. the person he tracked was the joat. and the 2nd pr wasnt sure who was who and we actually got the real pr eliminated because their claim came second. we went on to win. i didnt think stuff like that even happened in any competitive mafia

I believe "Death Miller" indicates any role which is designed to give false information when it flips, but we can discuss Mafia setup design later.

I didn't answer the second part of your question:
For the avoidance of doubt, a Miller scans as "Guilty" if investigated by a Cop.

Well I'm not saying it *can't* happen... But claiming to discard your teammate's role is basically guaranteeing you die next if they flip. I really doubt anybody would do that.

Both jailkeeper and alien prober roleblock as part of their action. Technically, mafia underdog can with JOAT, but I doubt that they would use it D1.

This is technically true, but I think not immediately useful both because of the alien psychotrooper and because there are two scum teams so innos on cop scans may be aliens and innos with conspiracy theorist could be mafia.
