In M62, celaph's only post in the last 19 minutes of D5 was his post where he gave reads.kgray wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:08 pmIn addition to townreading bona for other reasons, I do not think his votes at EOD can be explained as being deliberate at all (with the exception of him tying it with 2 minutes left). The way he was moving around doesn't feel at all like he was considering how his votes would look with VCA.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 5:59 pmYes, if rdrivera is scum, he may have deviated from his voting pattern to distance from rdrivera. Then, when rdrivera and celaph were tied, Bonatogether switched his vote from rdrivera to celaph, changing a tie to a 2 vote lead for celaph, despite claiming to be causing ties whenever possible.
celaph was in the lead when he last posted 5 minutes before EOD. He had plenty of time to make a claim if he wanted to make sure he survived D1.
And I think celaph's response to being on the block was so different from in M62. In that game, we still had several miskills left, and he was a VT, and he actually fought back and cared and posted his reads. He came out of it super towny. Here, he sort of just waited around and seemed like he was hoping to get out of it. It seemed more like he was afraid to say the wrong thing.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I forgot about that detail and don't remember it being a factor in that EOD strengthening my townread of him. I was referring more to the fact that he spent what could have been his last half hour or so putting together his reads. Granted, that was D5 and this is D1, so there's less to go on in this game.Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:42 pmI disagree with the last part here. The reason why celaph came out of that day looking so townie was because of his resigned post at the end where he said we 'should look at ghug because he'd been on yet another miskill' - Because celaph thought he was dead, when in fact there was a last second switch.kgray wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:08 pmIn addition to townreading bona for other reasons, I do not think his votes at EOD can be explained as being deliberate at all (with the exception of him tying it with 2 minutes left). But still, here he didn't even attempt to share his thoughts. He justified his vote for Bunny (weak but not unreasonable), didn't want to support a Rivera wagon because he said Rivera's low activity was NAI, and voted for lfischl presumably for self-preservation, which I don't think is scummy on it's own. But then he spent the last ~10 minutes sort of weakly defending himself (and he questioned ghug's Ezio vote). He wasn't trying to leave town with whatever reads he had so far.
And yeah, he also had less time this game because his wagon popped up closer to EOD, so I wouldn't have expected him to give as detailed of a list as before. But his attitude was still different. It wasn't "let me do what I can to help town solve" or even fight back against his wagon, it was "I hope I don't get killed."
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Bozo is using this to townread celaph. I am not as convinced, because I think he could have been hoping the vote would swing in his favor and not wanting to get caught in a lie.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:49 pmSo likely that Celaph is town, or still pretty inconclusive?
I guess if I am to work with my logic, Celaph as scum could claim, and there'd be repercussions if caught in the lie. As town, no need to give scum a better NK pool?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Yes, because he spent that time typing up his reads... That's my point. He was putting effort there as he was on the block because he knew his job was to help solve. Here he didn't do that.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:54 pmIn M62, celaph's only post in the last 19 minutes of D5 was his post where he gave reads.kgray wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:08 pmIn addition to townreading bona for other reasons, I do not think his votes at EOD can be explained as being deliberate at all (with the exception of him tying it with 2 minutes left). Mostly the first, seems hard to replicate as scum.kgray wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 3:14 pmSame question, Donny. Is she towny because she's obnoxious or for other reasons?
What do you think kgray?

But Bona's ties up in last few minutes makes that unlikely.

It is possible celaph is SK or scum with no teammates or only 1 teammate, where there would be no value in forcing a CC.kgray wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:59 pmBozo is using this to townread celaph. With 16 minutes left, why did you start a new wagon on celaph instead of going back to rdrivera or lfischl?kgray wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 7:00 pmYes, because he spent that time typing up his reads...
