And speaking for myself, but I feel like after the debacle of last game, I wouldn't want to touch a mafia role with a ten foot pole. I don't think brainbomb or ghug would either.

I think the ghug wagon is misplaced. At least it's only D1. I don't know who a more sound alternative would be at this point.

I love ghug so far this game. Not necessarily as a townie, but as a personality. Can we please keep him around, maybe as a tree stump or something?

I was out for my run and I thought to myself, "No one should be claiming anything, at least anyone that got town anything." Even claiming to have thrown away a VT is going to put some targets on people's backs. Don't do it.

Can you say more about this. I don’t understand your position.

I am only thinking VT and town PR. I think players would most likely choose a PR over VT. Putting that out in the open now creates a pool for mafia to try to whittle down.

I can't think of the implications of tossing mafia goon. Would someone throw that away to hold on to the mafia PR? Town PR? Alien?

I think my argument is only solid for people who got two town cards.

Information is always helpful to town, and revealing that you know information that doesn't benefit town (such as you were dealt two strong PRs and so had to discard one) cannot be orchestrated without giving scum a fair shot at knowing it anyways, so it's better to either totally avoid answering (but then mafia might discern something there) or to answer truthfully. You have ruled out the first, so the town course of action is to answer truthfully.

I was thinking to myself that you were going to claim this. Then thought: If he does claim this, what are the odds he kept it to have bulletproof and gamble on nobody taking lover while claiming to discard it.

I don’t know. But I think they’re decent.

My classical mafia performance last game was indicative of this. Pissed Hellenic Riot right off. But I think the difference was I was trying to hide out and be less conspicuous.

Why shouldn't everyone with two town cards claim they tossed a VT? It doesn't harm town really. And it doesn't help scum teams since they don't know who is lying either.

I didn't read what you wrote as PA. I wouldn't have caught it anyway. There's 11 VT cards. Someone with a sharper math brain than I would be able to figure out distribution, etc.

Anyway, I also agree with someone else who said earlier that all the mech talk would make it easier for scum to hide, so I am ready to drop it. I just don't think it's wise to claim.
