Why be evasive if it's just your gut reads? And giving explanations for reads is definitely worth the risk of scum using that to fake towniness. They're already doing that...

And most importantly, if you are withholding your reasons for your townreads so scum can't use them to blend in, why are you (1) saying you'll share more after rereading - that sounds like you're just deflecting - and (2) asking me to explain my townlean on Bob?

Alright, then let me jump in. I'd be inclined to think that anyone spending the time deliberating on the mechanics, value of claiming, etc is most likely town. Of course, scum could use that discussion to steer us into claiming, but I'd like to think not this early. That could be me being misguided. Sharing after rereading lets me confirm or disconfirm my thinking without the hassle that I often run into during these games of saying one thing then immediately thinking, "NO, why did I write that. That's stupid."

And I am interested in why you're reading Bob as town.

True, but I have to disagree, mech is an easy way for scum to blend in and gain credit without solving.

On another note there were 42 cards dealt out of 68 so quite a few roles were not dealt. Nearly 40 %. So that is a lot of roles that no one got.
Just some very basic math.

Town has no reason to lie about what non-town roles are not in the game. Intentionally obsuring information that some of the various non-town factions already have seems completely anti-town

It's very easy for any scum to lie about this information though. If they desired, they could just claim they discarded the role they actually chose, and it wouldn't look any different from a town claiming a discard. (Once again, I would rather talk about this later when bozo comes along with a long speech about how it narrows the miskill pool, confirms 50-70% of scum roles in play with 80-90% certainty and outs at least one guaranteed scum or something like that).

He sure took him time though. Almost as if he was taking him time to make sure Maniac didnt actually get miskilled, but to still have his vote on there to not rouse suspicion.

I think everything summit did D1 was hesitant and reserved (except that random and awkward "nanook is town af" comment) so him waiting to actually place a vote says nothing about Maniac, imo.

He asked me if I thought insightfulness was town indicative after he saw through me really quickly. He's doing something very similar here with bona, but I don't find it as towny this time.

Also, I get the impression that as much as celaph enjoys solving (and is very very good at reading people and their motivations), he'd be an excellent liar and would enjoy trying it this game. I expect that if he were offered a reasonable non-town role, he'd take it.

Yes, this felt different with bona. When he read me last game, it was deep and meaningful. With bona it felt superficial and like he was reading a script.
