It's encoded. I was wondering if anyone would try to figure it out. No one has tried though.Chaqa wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 3:48 amAm I crazy or do these not link to anything at all about scans?aarodactyl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 2:45 amScans in order with breadcrumb message linked. This sounds like a scum about to die and trying to bait out the real cop?
Take the number of character. If odd, I had a guilty scan. If even, it was inno. Take the number of words and index into the alphabetical list of players that tom gave us to get the target. If I got roleblocked, I was just going to encode myself as inno.

Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE [HIDDEN]
I think I called scum odd at one point and I also used the alphabetical list of players even though people were dead. I was going to use it more often to crumb that, but I got lazy and making a read list as cop seemed hardaarodactyl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 3:51 amIt's encoded. No, but the posts itself that get linked to don't make any sense:aarodactyl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 3:51 amIt's encoded. I was wondering if anyone would try to figure it out. Like, how are these at all posts that link to the scan result corresponding to a certain person?

They aren't. They weren't meant for us to find if he died. They were meant to verify that he was the Cop if the claim came under suspicion.

Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE [HIDDEN]
First post was 13 words and 57 character. Ghug was the 13th player alphabetically and 57 characters is odd so scum.Chaqa wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 3:53 amNo, but the posts itself that get linked to don't make any sense:aarodactyl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 3:51 amIt's encoded. He didn't say who he was scanning. I believe he's cop, but those are some absolutely terrible crumbs.

I think you get how the code itself works but in case not:President Eden wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 3:57 amThey aren't. They weren't meant for us to find if he died. They were meant to verify that he was the Cop if the claim came under suspicion.
For example, the first post, about DemonRHK, has 57 characters counting spaces (and 45 without - I was about to get worried aaro!) and 13 words. So odd number of characters = guilty, and the 13th player in the player list in Tom's OP is ghug. ghug is guilty.

Number of characters determines guilt or innocence
Number of words determines which player

Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE [HIDDEN]
These are excellent crumbs y'all are insane.
The fact that they explicitly don't talk about anyone being scanned is GOOD for the purpose employed - no one had a clue aaro was Cop, but the instant he claims and tells you how they work you know there's no way he did this to set up a fakeclaim.

Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE [HIDDEN]
Chapter 10
Jess smiled as she walked back to the Settlement, the entrance to the Scourge hive caved in kilometers behind her. She had embarked on what could have been a suicide mission, and while she had not found a way to defeat the Scourge, they knew so much more than they had just days ago. The geyser in the hive had enough energy to fuel their entire settlement.
She looked back at what was left of 7th Regiment. She said a prayer for those that had been lost, but was amazed by how many had endured. They had won this battle, but the war was yet to come.
BOZOTHECLOWN HAS DIED. They were a Scourge Beast, MAFIA GOON
JAMIET99UK HAS DIED. They were a Scourge Beast, MAFIA GOON
TOWN HAS WON MAFIA 63!
Aarodactyl was Private Samantha Peters, COP
Celaph was Private Beth Summers, DOCTOR
Fluminator was Private Sarah Williamson, VT
President Eden was Private Emily Stowe, VT
e.m.c^42 was Private Margaret Berry, VT
worcej was Private Meghan Bailey, VT
Donny Dude was Private Kaitlyn Cooper, VT
Damo666 was Private Natalie Reese, VT
Chaqa was Private Ashley Guyut, VT
Thanks for playing!
That was a town beat down! (which unfortunately ruined the pacing and payoff of my story! Thanks for nothing town!)
