Old? Older than you, yes. But old?
Old enough to have voted in both the referendum to join the EU and in the referendum to leave?
There was never a referendum to join the EU or any of its prior incarnations. UK joined the EC on 01.01.1973.

There was a referendum in 1975 on whether to remain in the EC or 'Common Market' as it was commonly known (although technically the common market or EEC was only a subset of the EC). I was not old enough to vote in said referendum although ancient enough to remember it.

I did vote in the recent referendum (to remain).
Ah. Then much younger than I thought. (And obviously better informed about ancient British history than I am)

I think I've narrowed it down to 6 possible scumpairs.
Sharing before EON would provide a chance to scan most informative player.

There’s also something to be said for scanning players who could surprise us.

One other thing I just thought of: the European players may be scum and disadvantage at EOD/EON. Yes I posted my hyposcan at 2 hours to go. But that was 11 PM and they may not have been here to help HB
Jamie, HR and I were all on at EOD. Are there other players in a similar timezone?

The scumpairs are 2 from celaph, Flum, HR and EMC.
Makes sense.

I’m not sure if I’m supposed to scan someone in that pool to avoid miskill, or scan someone coasting like you/chaqa and avoid an 11-1 horribleness

A bunch of people seem to be central and western US.

Dunno where Flum is based. He was absent at EOD (didn't post anyway). Perhaps the cop will scan him. Yes, I think so. ;)

For the record since this seems to be a topic of discussion, my location is accurate. I live in Durham in the United Kingdom. The phase deadline is occurring at 1am, my time. It's not super convenient for me. The usual phase process time happens at 11pm for me, so Tom has moved it by two hours.

I am however a bit of a night owl. I have missed only one EoN so far, and I've been here for all four EoDs, I think. I was forced to stay up for the most recent one due to Damo's shenanigans. I'm still not sure what Damo thinks all of that achieved.

My dads generation. Recently a pensioner, late 60s.

I remember the late 60s but I'm not in them. I was born after Buddy Holly died but before JFK was killed.

I wasn’t here. In retrospect I didn’t downvote Damo. I did go back and upvote a lot of old EMC posts.

@Eden how are you at 20% more posts than me AND double the words per post? I guess taking off D2 and N2 let you get ahead. But this is crazy.

Why does your read on Durga form the basis for your read on Worcej?
It's my confusion and being easily-swayed by the "scum get subbed out D1" business. I read her as town; I should offer that same courtesy to Worcej.
He didn't even get it after it was pointed out.
Earlier D2 Hamilton was aware Fluminator had replaced Durga:

Just got back in and have 23 pages to catch up on. Anything significant happen that I need to know about while I gravitate backwards to page 93? Seems Durga was replaced by Flum?
It would be a good scum play for Hamilton to deliberately look like he thought worcej had replaced Durga if worcej was his teammate, but I agree the much more likely explanation is that Hamilton mixed up who worcej had replaced, which looks good for worcej and Fluminator.

I am not sure what to make of Hamilton. One thing I noticed is that the bot does not properly indicate his D2 EOD votes, because he made 2 votes that had incorrect form.

Hamilton voted for worcej 14 minutes before EOD, when worcej had no votes:
Hamilton Brian wrote:

##Vote Worcej

Of the top 4 wagons, they're probably the closest to my scum tier. Those 4 can't garner much right now. That's my work for the next Day, if I get through.
Hamilton then voted for Donny 6 minutes before EOD (not picked up by the bot), when Donny had no votes:
Hamilton Brian wrote:
Tue Jan 05, 2021 12:54 am
Aaro, ready to go?

#Vote Donny
Hamilton voted to put ghug up 6-5 4 minutes before EOD:
Hamilton Brian wrote:
Tue Jan 05, 2021 12:56 am
##Vote Ghug

Shit... not feeling Bona. NOt feeling ghug either.
Next, Hamilton tried to unvote 2 minutes before EOD, which would have tied the vote:
Hamilton Brian wrote:
Tue Jan 05, 2021 12:58 am
## Unvote
Finally, Hamilton voted for brainbomb in the last minute, which did tie the vote:
Hamilton Brian wrote:
Tue Jan 05, 2021 12:59 am
##Vote Brain
The failed attempt to unvote is interesting, because it would not seem to be related to brainbomb's cop claim.
I had a theory that Hamilton voted for all of his teammates in the last 15 minutes of D2, but that theory is not looking good with the worcej/Durga thing.

And, as a matter of a starting point in letting you all know where I stand, there is this:
Reads as of D2. Definitely fluid and not ossified.
Tier 1 (would definitely not kill): President Eden, Jamie, myself
Tier 2 (would need a very convincing case to kill): aaro, worcej/durga, RDR
Tier 3 (ambivalent, could kill, could keep alive): bona, bozo, brain, celaph, damo, flum, emc, ghug, HR,
Tier 4 (remove them already): bunny, chaqa, donny, vecna
Donny, you're a motherfu**ing genius.

OK, here were my thoughts:

"Well, I know for a fact that vecna and I in tier 4 are town"
"I know that President Eden in Tier 1 is town"
"Let's see the middle tiers...hmm aaro, worcej/durga ...wait, what?!

WHY DID HE hyphen worcej and durga?! He also has Flum listed in Tier 3.

I think this townclears worcej. It possibly clears Flum too.
I remember this faintly coming up at the time. Great job by you two bringing it back into focus.
I agree that this basically clears worcej, because if worcej and Fluminator were both mafia with Brian, then he wouldn't have confused worcej as Durga's replacement -- he'd have seen those two interacting with each other, and been hyper-aware of them as his teammates.
I don't think this clears Fluminator, though, because there was never a point in time where Fluminator was in the game with someone who subsequently subbed.

I don't particularly suspect Fluminator right now, so I'm not saying this to shade him, just to ensure that we don't hand out a slip-based clear incorrectly.
Assuming Hamilton really thought worcej had replaced Durga, I think it is just as unlikely Fluminator is scum as worcej, because if Durga was his teammate, Hamilton would know who replaced her.

Although, what if ND and Durga were both Hamilton's teammates? It may not be impossible that Hamilton legitimately mixed up who worcej and Fluminator replaced.

Ah...this is an excellent point. AND it ties back to the theory that being on a team with ND and worcej was the straw that broke Durga’s back.

The problem with this theory is that every living European player bar Jamie (who went to sleep 20 minutes before EoN and therefore it's pretty hard to argue *could not* have helped out), was around at the EoN and the first hour after it.
