The more honest answer is that I was just lurking as aaro mentioned. To be honest I was a little surprised to see both aaro and Jamie flip sides after their earlier posts, though aaro more than Jamie who I suspect flipped to avoid a tie. @aaro, want to share what made you change your mind?

As to why I was on you, but not pushing you I'm honestly not really sure. I was just kinda happy with what was being said.

I voted for EMC early because I scumleaned them and townread flum. Then I stayed on because I liked who was on it. However, HB kept looking scummier and scummier and EMC started looking better.

I mentioned to HR with like 45 minutes in the day that I'd be willing to swap, but I wanted to wait until the announcement. Near the end of the day, I decided to swap because HB didn't look anything like how he did last game when he was getting DKed (not even an attempt to post notes). Also HB was in the lead and ties are anti-town.

I mainly wanted to call you out on it because of your slightly earlier post which seemed to suggest that what changed your mind was EMC's shitpost.

Digging into bozos post wasn’t a shitpost. They also engaged with us a lot more than HB at eod and it felt townier. I still think they’re a bit scummy, just not as much as HB

And I don't think you get the credit for brainbomb, given that you completely forgot about him after ghug flipped scum and it required me to point out that that EoD made no sense whatsoever unless brain was scum.

If you have more than 1 living report, I'd recommend claiming at the final second of EoN (use https://time.is/ type your post out in advance, and hit post at the 59th second of the final minute so the scum can't last second flip it to you, preferably)


Chances are hopefully good you won't get hit tonight, especially if the scum think I'm the cop after that (Hi scum, maybe I am the cop and that's why I wanted HB to take a bullet. Enjoy the wine), and the final second claim means the Doc can save you tomorrow night and we get another 2 reports (tonight's and tomorrow's) at a minimum, which if they're town reports should get us very close to a win.

If you think there's no chance whatsoever that the scum are gonna kill you (Am I gonna die??) then you can chance holding off another night, though I'd only really recommend this if you have 1 or fewer useful reports. Might be worth it if you only have 2. Definitely ain't worth it if you've got 3 living reports.

Time to really dig into vote analysis.

Like color every final vote. And every vote situation where a known scum shifted.

I might do that but it seems like a lot of work. Last game we voted out one scum for non-mechanical reasons. One got shot, two got outed my mechanics, and one got mod killed. That’s why voting out 3 in a row feels remarkable.

I’ve said this too. They were somewhat scummy in my eyes and it was between them and flum. And I have flum as a town lean. Then it shifted to HB and i didn’t feel a rush to swap.

Time to really dig into vote analysis.

Like color every final vote. And every vote situation where a known scum shifted.

I might do that but it seems like a lot of work. Last game we voted out one scum for non-mechanical reasons. One got shot, two got outed my mechanics, and one got mod killed. That’s why voting out 3 in a row feels remarkable.

Most games aren't solved by a PR/PR's handing us multiple scum for free, and frankly when they are it often makes it harder to find the rest of them because interactions are minimalised and there's much less to read into around their deaths. Chaqa's comeback being an absolute extreme example of this.

In addition to VCA and whatever interactions and ISOing people go do for their scum hunting, I’d like to point out a big piece of information:

HB didn’t post fake reads.

We knew that already. But NOW we know he had scum chat and two teammates. We also need to remember that I posted my scans with exactly 2 hours to go at night.

HB posted once with 2 minutes to go. The scum team had 2 hours to copy my reads post for him. He only had to hypoclaim too. Wouldn’t have even started a CC battle. Or do start the battle and get me to hard claim. Why didn’t they?

Theory 1: they weren’t around. Look for scumsuspects in low poster activity and a proclivity to not pay attention or known distractions then.
