I initially read it as if it said "If you think hamilton is scum, why not vote for bona today?" (i.e. encouraging people scumreading HB to leave him today and vote Bona instead).

Now I understand your question I actually think it's a pretty important question for anyone behaving as though Hamilton is obv-scum.

It's known that the bot was having trouble during EOD2. Brian claims to have been using the bot to keep up with the thread. It's not unreasonable that he might have misplayed based on bad information.

I disagree that I was meaningfully pushing anything RE: this claiming strategy. I voted YES on damo's survey when I read it, before finishing catching up. After I caught up and thought through the situation more, I changed my vote to NO. Most of the pushing happened before I even signed on today.

I was vocal about making the Cop claim when I thought it was Brian, but I think everyone wants Brian to claim if he's Cop, since he's probably getting the daykill otherwise.

For what it's worth, I thought that by voting Yes and making it a valid poll (versus everyone just shouting no at damo, it would make the results more interesting. Beyond that, I don't really have an opinion on it.

@PE: I'm asking you this because you seem to really want to vote out HB. I don't necessarily disagree with that, but here's a clarifying question.

At most, how many scum do you think there are off the HB wagon? Can you go wagon by wagon (including no vote)?

Have you played this game with Brainbomb before?

I know brainbomb used to fake claim a lot as town, but I think he usually had a reason when he was scum.

He was the godfather...fake claim, retract. Get Bona deaded (either goon or town), and when scanned by cop who wonders what's up, gets a clean. We all think "oh brainbomb...you did it again!"

Maybe he thought he could draw the cop scan, but if he thought he could get town credit when a scum was DKed, he was wrong, because a scum was DKed. I do think the cop claim would be a better play if Bonatogether is scum, with the idea that the third scum would be assumed to be town no matter which of the other 2 were revealed first, but I doubt brainbomb was thinking that far ahead.
