You know him better than me, but that's the exact opposite of what I would expect from a generic player. celaph, the reason I said "I want to townread you for this" to aaro was because I actually did townread aaro for the earnest explanation of his thought process in his second game, but I wanted to put at least token pressure on him to deliver the goods, because I got the feeling it was going to be strong work and I didn't want to let him coast if I were wrong.
I think two of our blessed trio of new friends are town and I honestly don't feel that bad about Bona. I think aaro said it best, the stuff that concerns me is easily explained by being busy IRL, and I do know Bona has been busy lately.

I want to caution people from trusting his opinion on me too much. We used to live near each other until I was nine and then I haven't seen him in person much since then. His impression of how'd I play is a lot of educated guessing. For instance, he got thrown a lot when I started shitposting last game. Considering he didn't keep up with the mafia game after he was daykilled, a lot of people in the game actually have more experience playing mafia with me than he does. Though in his defense, I'd probably put a lot of effort into the game as mafia, but I'm not sure I'd put quite that much effort in.President Eden wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:42 amYou know him better than me, but that's the exact opposite of what I would expect from a generic player. I have played games with you since. Like when I taught you some bridge and then took you to the toughest game in Boston and you cleaned up. That was like 5 years ago.

##VOTE bozotheclown
We'll start here. aaro earned a turn at the wheel.
bozo, who's the mafia and who's not? I can't read you well anyway so this vote might actually stick if your response isn't impressive

I can't comment on what scum aaro would do, but I object to scum reading his effort after he made a very similar post last game as town.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:41 amHaving read them, they aren't bad. Bonus points if it includes a day 2 meltdown like my first game as scum. No, don't do that.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 6:07 amI’m going to tank my first scum game just to mess with bunny
On ghug, I reread it and while I don't think it is a scumslip, ghug's reaction to it bugs me and he drops down to null.
Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE [HIDDEN]
I definitely townread him more for the posts in the hours leading up to the big post. The read list itself is fine, but that's one of the easiest ways for some to hide, so I'm not going to give him extra credit for it.President Eden wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:42 amYou know him better than me, but that's the exact opposite of what I would expect from a generic player. Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE [HIDDEN]
Bona being less active isn't a reason to look at him. Bona's 3/4 people reads list where he townread almost everyone on it, and then after I called him out on that he did the other quarter and scumread everyone on there (when he said he was dividing them by post count, not read strength) felt extremely disingenuous though. The fact that after I later called him out on this he dodged a response entirely and asked why he wasn't being hammered hasn't improved my feelings there.
Last game Bona intensely questioned everyone who ever scumread him. This game he's utterly ignored it. That's not something I'm content to just brush away as "less activity due to homework". That's a different thought process.

There are obvious differences, but I think the situations are comparable enough that I'm comfortable saying that putting this much effort in is well within the range of town aaro.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 6:05 amFair enough, was it under similar circumstances?celaph wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 6:00 amI can't comment on what scum aaro would do, but I object to scum reading his effort after he made a very similar post last game as town.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:41 am
