According to the limited research, the immunity only lasts for a few months. But it should buy me enough time for the vaccine.

Not to downplay it so far, but it has been a shitty cold but not as bad as a flu. My wife actually has lost her sense of smell and taste, while I am just congested, fatigued, and have a sore throat.
