Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
Of the 9 voters of Maniac, how many are scum? Probably some passive mafia on the vanity wagons?
Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
The small wagons all actually felt like legitimate attempts to get people killed to me, and the day didn't end that close, so I don't think being off-wagon is really scummy here.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:30 amOf the 9 voters of Maniac, how many are scum? I wasn't on it, but ND basically didn't post at all D1. It was such a stark difference that people thought it was suspicious. I didn't really agree, which is why didn't switch off the Maniac train.

The wagons were tied with like 3 minutes left.ghug wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:37 amThe small wagons all actually felt like legitimate attempts to get people killed to me, and the day didn't end that close, so I don't think being off-wagon is really scummy here.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:30 amOf the 9 voters of Maniac, how many are scum? Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
I think that depends on whether or not ND/worcej is scum. Since I don't see scum making a big effort if it was TvT but it would make more sense if it was TvS.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:30 amOf the 9 voters of Maniac, how many are scum? Without digging into it, I would say the major pushers of his wagon were lazy.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:37 amI wasn't on it, but ND basically didn't post at all D1. No matter - I effectively have a blank slate, which is the best option for a sub to inherit.

anything was better than the position that tom took over last gameworcej wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:38 amWithout digging into it, I would say the major pushers of his wagon were lazy.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:37 amI wasn't on it, but ND basically didn't post at all D1. I more mean there wasn't much reason to pile on because he ended up by 3.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:37 amThe wagons were tied with like 3 minutes left.ghug wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:37 amThe small wagons all actually felt like legitimate attempts to get people killed to me, and the day didn't end that close, so I don't think being off-wagon is really scummy here.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:30 amOf the 9 voters of Maniac, how many are scum? Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
Sums it up well enough, and he did respond in a way that got him null-lean-town points rather than scum. I also wanted to see who would join in
Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
Speaking for myself, I had no reason to townread ND and last game didn't give me confidence that town ND is good to have around. Of the wagons, I think he was the best kill.

This feels like revisionist history.ghug wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 3:44 amI more mean there wasn't much reason to pile on because he ended up by 3.
With <1 minute left,
Jamie broke the tie giving ND the lead. Later that minute, PE and EMC retied and broke the tie giving Maniac the lead. My vote to ensure there was no tie came just moments before Tom called the end of the day.
Both of the wagons were leading during the final minute. How is that not a close ending to a day? People off the main wagons absolutely had the ability to contribute and change the final vote. That last point should be obvious because the three votes that last minute decided the kill.

Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
It was hard to follow what you were quoting here, it sounded like you were suggesting I check on Maniac's formatting tendencies, but I now see that was a emc quote.Donny Dude wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 1:43 amEmc is acting really weird about maniac.
First mention on a ctr f on maniac
Someone wonderfully bot-checking like bozo should prolly double check this, but does Maniac post with more formatting issues as scum compared to town?
I have post-format readability as a meta thing on him (more rambling and unreadable in a blob, scum; passing as any other player and shorter, town), but not sure if that was confabulated coincidental trait or not, due to adapting to forum.
Second mention seems concerned about how he is perceived.
The fuck, I was going to dump a vote on Maniac too but y'all popped out of nowhere to vote him, so now if I also do it's weird lol.
Then votes for maniac saying who cares in reference to previous post.
Moves onto HR, but then move back to maniac.
##vote Maniac, HR vote has done what it was meant to do lol.
next post
I feel like sticking with the Maniac vote because I want to know if the formatting thing is actually valid or not, lol
What was voting for HR supposed to do Emc?
My first thought about this is that I did not remember playing a game with Maniac as scum and didn't know where emc was drawing Maniac's scum meta from, but checking the "Mafia Scoresheet" I found that emc and I were both in M49 when Maniac was scum, although I was killed D1 and emc was killed N1.

Am I missing something, or were you drawing your opinion of Maniac's posting style from only M49?e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 10:18 pmSomeone wonderfully bot-checking like bozo should prolly double check this, but does Maniac post with more formatting issues as scum compared to town?

Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
I had to dip out for the last few minutes, but the bot says all of that happened with three minutes left. I don't think it was that bad to end off wagon unless you had a strong stated preference for one of them or weren't actively trying to make someone else happen, which I think just leaves Vecna, for whom it was 1 AM.celaph wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 4:36 amThis feels like revisionist history.

Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
Another interesting thing I noticed about M49 is that D1 came down to me vs. ND
where ND was scum. ND had the lowest D1 post count, was absent at EOD, and never posted again after D1, being replaced N1. Also, his replacement survived until the end of the game.

Am I correct in reading this that you used only out of *this* game reasons to vote him?celaph wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 4:09 amSpeaking for myself, I had no reason to townread ND and last game didn't give me confidence that town ND is good to have around. Of the wagons, I think he was the best kill.

Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
Yes, ND had not voted so he knew he was going to get subbed, so getting subbed for not meeting the voting requirement could have been his way of avoiding asking to be subbed D1 as scum have done in the past 2 games.
Re: MAFIA 63: THE SCOURGE
Is this a low effort attempt to scum read my slot because it happened once before?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 4:48 amAnother interesting thing I noticed about M49 is that D1 came down to me vs. ND

Is this the best theory you have to push atm bozo?
