I don't think this is really productive, so I'm going back to only talking about if people bring it up and use it to read people. We should chat about it after the game, because I think even if you don't think it's against the rules now (I do), you should agree that it would be a nice rule to have, but I encourage y'all to join me in not arguing about it ad nauseum, as much as it's my own instinct to do so
Sounds good. What do you think of damo?
I got some vaguely good vibes at some point, but I could not tell you anything he's said without checking.

I like celaph and aaro this time around, dislike bunny. Chaqa and Eden need to cool it with the among us talk. Emc is probably town. Brain is doing the same stuff as last time, and ghug is being weird. Durga/Tom/bozo haven't said anything AI, and I don't know Donny or Demon well enough to say anything.

Not being able to +1 things is gonna get me dked cause I can't back up that I'm reading the thread. Calling it now.

Use posts and words instead of +1 clicks. It's easy if you try.

Damo, rd, Vecna, HR, Bunny?, Durga, starting to doubt Eden but I'll throw him in here for now. I guess I also don't really want to kill aaro or brainbomb because they both might be good and I did them dirty last game, but I'd vote them over people in that group.

I feel like his philosophy of the game is very similar to mine, but the amount of effort he's putting into certain posts and many of the conclusions he's drawing feel like he's playing Balki's game.
Why do I get the feeling this isn't a compliment

It's not against the rules to lie or mislead about the contents of your role PM.
The manner in which you did so is tantamount to accusing the GM of fucking up, as I explained in detail before, because you are claiming that the GM sent information to you that they did not send to other people. That's impossible to explicitly prove or disprove without GM intervention which the GM is not going to do because that would break the game.

You may not technically have broken the rules as they are currently written but your behaviour is extremely distasteful and rather unkind to the GM. I think we will now have to review these rules after this game because of people like you who don't get this.

You see everything I see.

Ghug I'm slightly suspicious of. Yes he disliked the style of play, but why overreact? Why claim godfather?

Why ignore me? Why respond to me? Some thoughts:

1) Ignoring me means you either don't know what's going on and decide to keep your head down, or know what's going on and want to see where it goes.

2) Why engage? Could be town motivated, but I don't see why. Town generally likes things to be shaken up. More often you're scum and want to keep yourself and your teammates from getting swept up.

So I need to go reread eventually and see who exactly said what in what order, but those were my prepared hypotheses for the experiment.
I expect a report with some concrete assertions by day 2 or my vote will actually stay on you. I'm slightly concerned by the fact that both your hypotheses allow for a player to be town or mafia without a clear lean in either direction... But that just leads me to think it wasn't a well thought out exercise, which doesn't say anything about you either way. And I could be missing some component of it that would clarify my concerns anyway. So I guess you have 72 hours to come up with something

Anyway I'm not shooting BG because he's the top poster by far. He's probably got a wide enough mafia range to do everything he's done so far, to be fair, so I don't fault people for scumreading him. I just don't want to shoot here today. A mafia historian can tell me the last time mafia led the post count on day 1 but I bet it's pretty uncommon. And he hasn't been doing things to juke the stats either, he's been replying to a lot of ongoing events and even causing at least one of them.

##VOTE Maniac

cuz I think that's the best shot of my many shots right now. But I could see most of the people in that "would shoot" pile being mafia.

And to be clear there are players who I think are good scum players but not good town players like Chaqa or Jamie who don't get that protection.

I really like Balki's game, but it's not my game and I don't think it's yours either.

Last time scum led D1 in post count was the last time I was scum. :smirk:

How closely did you read the last game? Have you read any other recent games at all?

That's why I gave you a question mark. I haven't rseen you get far in a game as town, but you talk a lot and you're not stupid or overly emotional, so it seems plausible you'd be good at solving.

Imma be honest with you buddy. I don't even know what my game is anymore. I scripted the Vecna accusation opening and knew I was going to meme for the first couple of hours, but I was honestly going to lurk until like day 4 for two reasons:

1. I wanted to troll the people who wanted me to play.
2. I wanted to try my hand at the hard data solving part of the game instead of the loud driving part of the game, since there are a lot of competent high-posting players and they don't need some washed-up windbag cramping their spot.
3. I figured I would be playing a shitload of Among Us during d1.

But then somehow I ended up making like 100 posts or something obscene and here we are.

As far as games watched:
- I vaguely paid attention to a brief part of M61 (including DMing my guesses at the team to worcej and Donny - I had cagey ray but I trusted Chaqa, so mise), but when I went back to try to read I realized my brain was too small to understand that setup so I gave up.
- I backseat drove in the God thread of M62 because I can't help myself, and boy is it easy to pick out mafia when you know who they are!
- I lied to Chaqa about 4 times now about reading that role madness game (M55?) where he and emc had a town QT and built a cop with xorxes and won. I didn't read a lick of it but I did read the QT he sent and it looked like a blast.

So not really. When I ask for random verifiable things like "do mafia often make rules for themselves?" or "do mafia ever lead in post count?" I really am hoping for someone to chime in with an answer. I don't expect people to go back and trawl the data to find it, but if ya happen to know I'd love to hear it (and if you do go back, I'll probably townsimp for you for the whole game).

Also you're an actual madman for telling me you led post count as mafia when I was just about to townread you for high post count and appearing to try to solve things. But somehow I want to townread you more for volunteering that...

I pretty much always lead in post count right now. You're welcome to townread me for it though. I'm always town.

Since you have watched recent games, what's different about Maniac here that makes you scumread him?
