Another style is to try and manipulate and steer the conversations while hiding. This has been more what I've done the first couple and last game (but not the one before) as scum.

But the real question is: what is the person actually thinking when writing the post? Even scum like me who go full method and hunt as hard as they do when they're town have priorities in the posts they choose to make.

I'm expanding my range of meme mastery by brazenly shitposting through day 1 and softing a PR so I get shot instead of the big brain big egos in this crew. Then when mafia inevitably quintuple-cross busses on day 1 and wins through town implosion for the third game in a row nobody can blame me!

Unfortunately I recently completed a course on Quantitative analysis and therefore I do, in fact, know that there are three Pythagorean means. I also know that for my stats work I only ever had to use the arithmetic mean.

Why did you ask about AM/GM then?

Because I was skimming whilst trying to catch up (I have multiple versions of the thread open right now) and I thought you were making reference to the GM, i.e. Tom Bombadil, that I was missing.

Specifically:

1) He was serious in signaling that he'd closely read the rules
2) He was serious in noting that he'd noticed last game that when he copied/pasted bo's name from a previous rules, he'd noticed that he'd had a scum name
3) He was serious about getting people to think about the mental state of Tom when making this unnecessary modification to the rules

Whether he's serious that Vecna is scum? I dunno.

Why are people actually caring so much about that opening post? Like, tryharding championship alert.

I am doing a PhD in law at the University of Nottingham Law School.

Since my research project will involve the collection and analysis of a potentially large amount of primary data, one of my supervisors felt I would benefit from additional teaching in quantitative analysis specifically, on top of the legal research methods training I have had previously. Therefore from September until a few weeks ago I have undertaken a module entitled "Fundamentals of Quantitative Analysis" run by the Economic and Social Research Council's Doctoral Training Centre. The course is originally a Health Sciences module which has been broadened to be suitable for students across the social sciences.

The three Pythadorean means were *mentioned* on the course, for context, but we did not study the other two.

Is that sufficient or do you wish to spend the next month tunelling on whether I am scum for not immediately knowing that Bunny meant "Geometric Mean" when he said "GM" instead of "GM in the normal sense, yet I did undertstand what Geometric Mean was when he spelled it out? Come on Eden, you're better than that. Ghug leaping on your shitposting observation is less surprising. Ghug is just a prick, nothing new there.

Maniac's "Maniac's Rules" proclamations are bad. On Page 2 DemonRHK pointed out why Maniac's promise to lead a wagon on someone who wasted their vote D1 is a bad, anti-town, thang and I agree with this. Ghug arguing back about it is interesting.

So far I see the usual bad, egotistical Maniac starting to appear, massively over-estimating his own abilities as usual, and Ghug coming along to endorse / support / buddy Maniac. I do not like.

Don't you do some financial statistics for purchasing? Financial averaging with compound interest should be geometric (unless intentionally trying to overestimate).
