So, last game I was scum and feared that you'd accidentally slipped and singled out bo. But then I went back and saw that in at least one recent game he'd been the example given for all the votes. So I didn't bring it up (unlike the pressure I put on Chaqa and Jimbo for things I thought I saw).

But this seems a stretch to me. Tom isn't known for slips like this. And unlike last time when bo was used in every example, he used Zultar later. I'd be very careful using this argument. And I think you would be careful too.

Yes there is a reason.

Rule 1 - later on in the game (assuming my scum buddies don’t bus me and I survive that long) I can just pick someone who wasted their votes early on. Saves me the hassle of reading the thread and putting much effort in.

Hello. I am now going to read up on all the posts since my last one, which I think was on page 3, so bear with me.

Phases starting / ending at 1am UK time is likely to mean I can't guarantee being around at EoD or EoN in many phases, btw. I'm a night owl so I'll make some, but not all, I'm sure.

I don't remember you being so hyper-literal.
I struggle to believe that you would try to read as far into a clearly facetious preplanned opening post as you are claiming you have. And I certainly wouldn't credit myself with having carefully read the rules...

This is a great question. It depends on play style.

One style that many play is "just try to be town!me and hide". This is good if you can do it. Many struggle with the basics of hunting when they know their teammates.

Another style is to try and manipulate and steer the conversations while hiding. This has been more what I've done the first couple and last game (but not the one before) as scum.

But the real question is: what is the person actually thinking when writing the post? Even scum like me who go full method and hunt as hard as they do when they're town have priorities in the posts they choose to make.
