User names changing
User names changing
Did the site allow users to change their names?? If so, is there a list of players that did this?

Re: User names changing
We allow plenty of people to change their usernames. But only when their username exposes their real name. And for obvious reasons, no we will not give a list of those people. The other option is to win Zultar's special prize on the 12 days of giveaways (durga).
There's also people who've been banned and allowed to come back with a different name. SandgooseXII or something was allowed back as Sandgoose.
Various other moderation cases with special circumstances I can think of, but in none of these cases is anyone else having the information appropriate.

There you have it, ssorenn. The easiest way is to get yourself banned and then wait a few months. Just make sure it's bad enough that they don't give you your old account back.

Thanks for clarifying. I was beginning to cower over, err, wonder what part of "DemonOverlord" gave away personally identifiable information.jmo1121109 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 04, 2018 1:20 amWe allow plenty of people to change their usernames. I think it's a "Can't go a week without mentioning they're female so the admins want in their pants" situation.
Re: User names changing
Zultar a) picked her randomly and is b) happily married with children, so no. I'm sorry the concept of a woman winning something makes you uncomfortable.

Oh, come on ghug. Croak is hardly a paragon of virtue and fair play but you have to admit that to an impartial observer that the person winning the list and the prize for a name change just happening to be the person who'd been consistently asking for a name change for months as well as being someone who had contributed greatly to the site... may raise an eyebrow or two?
I mean it's not as ridiculously unlikely as the best candidate out of 300 million eligible Americans to be President happening to be the spouse or son of a previous President, but it still looks a bit dodgy.

So I have a chance this year?
ghug is an admin again, and he certainly wants to get in my pants.
