There's obviously a lot of townies doing that, and I know part of it is because of the game pace, but I think the two wagons are easy pushes for both lazy town and for scum, and I think they're probably both town.

I'm just not buying it as a reason to let him coast by the entire game without really doing anything outside of hard protecting Damo yesterday.

You think Bona's convenient Flum scumread on D5 was just because he was new?

I think it's pretty reasonable for a new town player to be convinced by a townclear making a hard case on someone. Sure, this is a good excuse for scum, but he didn't really seem to be relying on that. And I think the fact that he stuck with his celaph tunnel and didn't try to push the Flum wagon is towny.

He wasn't protecting damo. He was tunneling celaph. And I don't think damo's partner reacts to his flip the way he did, unless scum!Bona is a level 20 troll.

And I agree with you, and he's in my POE too. But there's only one scum left so it's pretty easy to have a messed up POE if you're townreading the wrong person.

Bona is a pretty high level troll as either alignment lmao. Which is why I like him. He still has to die though.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this and I also don’t feel good about voting for either maniac or Bona. I think flipping them still gives good info but I doubt either are scum. My biggest reason to townread Bona is that he didn’t vote with any of the scum D1 and D2 and that seems like too obvious. I feel like that much distancing is too strong of a signal and the scum were probably too smart for that. That argument only applies to maniac for D1 so I guess I’d feel better about that vote.

I think my vote is still on HR and I think we should make sure we do that in the next one or two DKs but I’ll join the ##vote maniac wagon for today.

Now today he is voting for Bonatogether, his counter wagon, without having made a case to vote for anyone else. aarodactyl is more concerned about self preservation right now than he is with finding the last scum.

Of course I’m worried about self preservation. Any town member in my position would be. It’s true I don’t have any leads on the last scum but also I’ve been on my phone all morning and it’s much harder to look back on post history with that.

Yeah. I’m not hesitant when we have confirmed scum. Talking about mechanics was one of the first things I felt like I could engage with in this game.

I find that believable, however I think it is also something easier to do as scum than having to fabricate scum reads for non-mechanical reasons.

Do you think, in general, it's easy for scum to pretend to be happy and having fun when a third of their team gets caught?

What were my D6 reasons? I think the argument I gave for not really scumreading bona was it would have been too weird to me to see no overlap in scum voting for days 1 and 2. It's possible I said townreading, but I don't remember. I also don't think it's a super strong argument, especially because I don't know anything about the meta.

I've learned that the trick to getting out of a tunnel is to have the person you're tunneling claim PR, and then sort of ignore them for a minute, and then re-tunnel as soon as there's the slightest chance that someone is honestly CC'ing them. And finally, get out of the tunnel only when that second person flips VT.

I actually did an excellent job not tunnelling this game. The key was everyone listening to me while I wanted to kill townies early. Not too late to do it again.
