Sure, and it's possible he was happy that his cousin (right?) got caught before him. But at that point, whoever is the last scum had only damo and yoyo left on their team and needed a *ton* of miskills. It was a huge uphill battle. So if it's aaro then he was being pretty short-sighted in his happiness of Bunny getting caught.ghug wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:43 pmDo you think it's maybe sensible for scum to be happy when they discover that it was their teammate visiting town who was watched and not themself visiting another caught teammate?kgray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:40 pmDo you think, in general, it's easy for scum to pretend to be happy and having fun when a third of their team gets caught?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:31 pm
I find that believable, however I think it is also something easier to do as scum than having to fabricate scum reads for non-mechanical reasons.
Your favorite part of his day is after Bunny was outed.

@HR why don't you scumread Flum anymore?
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
No I largely agree with you. I think everyone's burnt out a little. I think it's possible aaro is legitimately just lacking the confidence to puah his reads, but I also think there's a plausible scum mindset behind it.kgray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:46 pmDoes celaph count? We're not in a do-or-die situation, and I don't think it's scummy to be sort of checked out here. But scumreading aaro for not digging into the game when he's being accused of a bunch of stuff is iffy at best.
I think bona has actually been relatively open with his thoughts such as they are, and he's not scrambling despite being the one who's actually on the block, so that's another reason why people shouldn't vote for him.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Well I don't really think it's either of them. I kind of actually want to vote Flum.ghug wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:52 pmNo I largely agree with you. I think everyone's burnt out a little. Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
No it's not. It's so easy to plan a reaction to being asked about a blatant townslip to be "I'll pretend to think I've been caught in a scumslip"kgray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:42 pmHe would have had to have planned for his reaction to be "ghug is trying to catch me in a scumslip" when from scum!Bona's point of view, what he was doing was objectively not a scumslip. That's a lot of layers.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
It's about the delta. If he visited Bunny or damo N1, it's pretty much strictly better for him and his team once you know it's just Bunny who's caught.kgray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:48 pmSure, and it's possible he was happy that his cousin (right?) got caught before him. Yoyo also got himself pretty widely townread that day, and damo didn't really become the slam dunk option until after the flips, so I don't think it was quite as dire as you're making it out to have been.

I'm less inclined to get people who voted Damo D5 because I think scum would have been desperate to avoid bussing. I'm more inclined to get Flum than anyone else not on Damo though.

What thoughts has aaro been open about? How can you reverse the reaction under pressure argument when aaro hasn't been on the top of everyone's radar for days?Fluminator wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:56 pmI would reverse aaro and bona in your post and I'd agreeghug wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:52 pmNo I largely agree with you. Aaro's handling of the pressure has been incredibly town to me. He doesn't seem scared or worried about saying the right things. The worst I feel from him is slight annoyance.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Fine, but that doesn't mean scum would be *happy* about what was happening, maybe just relieved. And if I were scum and two of my teammates had just been caught, I can guarantee I wouldn't be calling out one of them for talking in the QT with one of the remaining hidden ones.ghug wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:55 pmIt's about the delta. I don't know. If anyone would do that it's probably Flum. He was talking about how he got scumread for being right before, so maybe he was just using that as preemptive defense.ghug wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:56 pmYou think Flum vocally scumread every teammate day one?kgray wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:55 pmWell I don't really think it's either of them. I'm not a dick to my teammates lol. I'd only do that if I got their permission.

(That's an example of how easy it is to fake a townslip btw. Because I pretended I didn't know there was pregame scumchat.)Fluminator wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 9:05 pmI'm not a dick to my teammates lol. I'd only do that if I got their permission.

You mean in a pre-game chat where bussing was almost certainly discussed given how the rest of d1 went?Fluminator wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 9:05 pmI'm not a dick to my teammates lol. I'd only do that if I got their permission.
