I'm being a little facetious, but I can't see anyone outside of you four and maaaaybe Chaqa thinking Balki was the priest there, because it felt pretty obvious to me, and Flum clearly felt similarly. Thus either it's someone trying to frame one of y'all, or it's one of y'all, and I think the latter is more likely.

There's a fairly obvious flaw in this logic in that the scum patently knew we were both town and therefore that one of us would retract in that scenario... Which meant that that would only work if they thought they could get us miskilled after the retraction. Which is a pretty doubtful strategy given I'd townread Balki and indeed he had townread me.

I get your point, but I can see where aaro's coming from. There were plenty of people that thought you were scummy enough to be up for the daykill if you turned out to not be the priest. If you retracted and Balki didn't, I'd have voted for you. It *is* odd that scum killed Balki, and they definitely narrowed things down for me.

So it seems likely that the final scum is someone who believed Balki was the priest but didn't believe that town would "disobey" and vote for one of you. So they killed what they thought was the final PR, which would lead to your miskill. Right?

That makes me think maybe Flum? Maybe Chaqa?

But I also dislike NK wifom arguments, so I don't know if this is really worth exploring. My main point is, I don't see how this is scummy from aaro. I agree with him.

I didn't really go back and check because the point isn't that I think Flum or Chaqa is scum because of this, but I think I just thought that based on his suspicion of HR? But I guess after Balki "retracted" Flum was probably just intentionally adding to the confusion. And even if he thought Balki was the priest because HR was scum, then that's a towny perspective anyway.

I think it's not inconceivable that one could get a miskill on you or Balki. Kgray and myself where giving you a hard time for your reads while Balki hasn't looked great most of the game.

I think it's also a little weird that aaro is the only one getting scum read for this. Both flum and myself also expressed surprise earlier. Using this to justify an aaro scum game strikes me as more conf bias than a stand alone argument.

I concede that in the scenario where Balki was the priest then perhaps I may have been daykillable, but I'd still like to know just who he expected to die instead (apparently nobody)

I never said you scum read aaro for it. I was responding to your argument about aaro's thought process and it happened to be a convenient place to stick a point about people (primarily ghug I think) scum reading aaro for it.

If we're voting people off for thinking Balki was PR, then I was guilty 2 nights ago though much less certain once he retracted his claim. Perhaps I just wanted HR gone.
