I don't really see how you could take Balki retracting as anything other than a retraction of his cc, and I also don't really see why Balki would make a gamethrowing move to concede as scum and then decide not to concede afterward either, so I think he's pretty safely town at this point

Because he said he thinks you're VT, so he's retracting, which is very confusing to me. So Balki isn't the Priest, and thinks YOU'RE not the Priest. These sorts of mindgames always leave me confused.

Did they need to? Why go out of your way to protect your partner if you can get away with not doing it and thus maintain great distance?

Teacon himself blatantly wasn't around at EoD (his last post was 2.5 hours earlier), at which point he wasn't even a particularly likely wagon. Maniac was also absent with his last post 3 hours prior to EoD. Bunny was bussing. Jamie *did* vote ND over the other wagons. And Damo was on Durga throughout until that last second vote for Maniac's dead wagon.

Like if Damo was that concerned about a teammate dying, he'd have voted ND over Maniac regardless of Maniac's alignment. He was therefore either fine with teacon dying (it was 7-5 in ND's favour), or - more likely - he knew there was no real risk of a last second change and that ND was dead... In which case, his vote was utterly meaningless and therefore cannot possibly make Maniac look townie.

That was within a minute of both Hamilton and me moving to ND. I don't think there was no chance of Maniac dying at that point.
