Why? The only thing VT!Balki could have been doing with his claim was to try to confuse scum about who was the priest, hoping they'd target you instead of priest!HR so that HR could save you. If he's retracting his claim it makes zero sense for him to now think HR is a VT.

And what would his scum motivation be? Like that makes even less sense. I don't know why people would scum read him for that.

Counter argument: what would you expect scum Balki to do last night? Town as a whole seemed to be wanting Maniac, Bona, and Balki dead next in some order or another. What better time is there for a Hail Mary than 1v11 while not being much of a deep threat?
