Just dropping by quickly. It always annoys me that town have this habit of forming circular firing squads. So easy for just a few scum to lead a daykill. We’re gone 47hrs now. If you’re voting for someone who has one or two votes, either make a very strong case to get people over to your thinking or move to a major wagon and continue your pet target tomorrow.

That does seem to be a little out of character for Maniac to vote Durga D1.
Without getting too much in the details since it's all been resolved years ago, there was a lot of aggression coming against Durga in a postgame (including a gendered insult) and Maniac was the first person to call out the player doing it. I do kind of expect town Maniac would have been more defensive of Durga here.

And fwiw, most of what Maniac has done that stands out falls under the "too scummy to be scum" category, which is something I think he'd play into as either alignment. I think it's odd that he's not getting any pressure here because it seems like he'd be an easy-ish target for a miskill.

Maniac was one of the best scum players in the early mafia games. He was really good at blending in. Eventually his meta evolved to doing crazy plays as town. Then he started doing them as scum so it wasn't obvious when he was scum lol. The fact I haven't even noticed him all game probably isn't an accident on his part.
Did he do anything crazy as town in the last game? I was a ghost and not paying attention.

Why do you think he suddenly went into a double-bus mode at the start of D3 if he's scum, having not bussed at all beforehand?

Last game he claimed his vengeful role at the start of the day, demanded we kill him, and directed us to vote on two groups of three and then between the winners of each to decide who he targeted.

We found out shortly after he claimed that his role would trigger on an NK cause someone lawyered worcej, so we didn't end up killing him.

Like you I can't tell scum from shitposter yet so I don't have much to say on that front. My initial town reads are bunny, durga, and ND. Their posts seem to at least be advancing the conversation in a productive fashion.
