Like you I can't tell scum from shitposter yet so I don't have much to say on that front. My initial town reads are bunny, durga, and ND. Their posts seem to at least be advancing the conversation in a productive fashion.

I agree about bunny, I can see your point about durga, but I think ND is a shitposter who wants to look like a productive town member.

Hmmmmm, this Day 1 post makes me feel like Bona is town.

I am just trying to think about Scum!Bona reading celaph town read Bona's partner. "I agree about bunny." I feel like that's just an unlikely response. It's not like Bunny needed more support there. I feel like this would be an unusual thing to say if Bona were scum. If he were scum, he'd equivocate more, or give more credit for the read to celaph. I feel like this is Town!Bona.

Can you please expand on these initial town reads? I don’t really understand why you have noticed those three specifically? How are they advancing the conversation? What do you see them doing that seems more likely to be a sincere scum hunt than a pretend one?

Sure.
Bunny made an effort early to incorporate us newer players in a non-antagonistic fashion. Asked aaro about his approach to the game to learn more about a player he didn't know. Shared a nice tracker bot that I had never heard of before.

No single message sticks out to me from Durga. Looking back at chat history lines like "Fuck I actually hate this. You're both dumb please move on." and "Flum has done something to compare him to anyone yet? What has he done?" seem to indicate a desire to push through a mess for actual info.

ND strikes me as a particularly antagonistic town. Someone who ultimately wants the truth though goes about it in a way that I find particularly poor. At least so far I don't feel that his tendency to be caustic to use emc's term comes from being scum.

Celaph: hasn't put out scumreads since n3, mostly (if not always) asks softballs, and all the other things I scumread him for earlier.

Flum: contradicted himself repeatedly. I laid this out earlier, but he went from scumreading HB (saying this twice over multiple days) to claiming that he had always obvtowned him. Also was a late hopper on the brain speed wagon.

He scumreads HB d2 after he does the earlier sheep. He then says he's been obvtowning him since d1, which is a flat out *lie*. This man is scummier than a sewage pipe. He switches between nullreads, scumreads, or mistrustfulness, and total townreads.

This doesn't mean I townread HB. I'd need to reread his stuff first.

Given that you haven't even read the game, you're basing this entirely on the easily disprovable assumption that nobody ever busses.

I've read about half the game, and most of it since like Day 2-3.

I don't and never have put much value in the things people say or do outside of:
1. Votes
2. Reads list
3. Reasons for voting
4. Crumbs/slips

There's 400 pages and about 350 of it is fluff.

Teacon was a viable wagon Day 1 and I'm still shocked Bunny was scum based on that. if two scum were voting teacon, it would be a massive risk and I don't see any competent scumteam doing that. Given the teacon voters are a bloc of our most experienced players, I just don't see a world where any of them are scum.

Chaqa is playing his town game to a T. I want to give him some credit in that he could replicate it as scum, but I doubt he is.

Not related to current conversation, but I think Bunny’s vote of him D2makes it unlikely Balki is scum.

It seems like scum have bussed each other an insane amount this game. I'd expect there to be at least one mafia member they never shaded.

If we're listing reasons I'm amazing, can we reexamine my pressuring Bunny to claim his jails with the added knowledge that there wasn't a real communicator?
