I received a thoughtful message from a player who will remain anonymous that has inspired me to give a more proper and serious response to BunnyGo's CALL GM earlier.

Suffice to say that I will not let the mechanics and role PMs "lie" to any player. I will not take actions to confirm or deny a player's role or alignment outside of "flipping" them on death.
I try to give a wide latitude to players making plays, provided they are in the spirit of "playing to win" and are not "cheating."
The players know their PMs. Whatever they decide to say about said PMs is their business. Players are free to claim whatever role they wish, or none at all, provided that their claim is "playing to win."
The mechanics as stated in the OP should be presumed to be accurate unless a GM needs to clarify otherwise. For instance, earlier today I clarified the meaning of "order of operations" as I had mistakenly created the impression that Jailers were immune to Roleblockers. But aside from formal corrections, assume everything works as stated in the OP.
If a clarification of something is needed, I'm available to help.

Not quite. He asked me if I objected to him breaking the rules in the way someone else specifically called him out on AND HE AGREES SHOULD BE CALLED OUT IN GENERAL. I assented that it was fine with me. I was informing the anonymous source that this was not entirely his call.
