M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!

Since people are hard claiming roles when there was really absolutely no need, (which, if true, could be argued is playing against their win condition) I think it's time I hard-claim my role....

I'm the GM.

It's clear that inappropriate language has been used and perhaps there should be some consideration given to sanctions and/or clarifying what can and can't be said in future. But surely discussions and arguments about this can either happen someplace else or some other time; like after the game. Any sanctions bought now, or players being mod-killed or leaving affects the enjoyment of all the other players who just came here to play a game. Escape the real world for a bit and test our skills (or lack thereof) against other like minded people.

I would never wish to tone police how people react to offensive remarks. All I would respectfully ask is that those remarks are made away from the game so as to not spoil the enjoyment of other players. It's hard to ignore 30 odd pages of out of game stuff and still follow the game.

I'm going to hand back to the pretend GMs now.

To be fair to the GMs, we should be able to take a pause in the game without people fighting. I think people need more hobbies. I'm going to go knit and try to stop checking this thread.

They responded to the initial proposal and outlined why they rejected it. That's why this is a counter-proposal, which takes into account their reasoning to hopefully come up with a solution that suits everyone
