Easy in hindsight. A vote could have just easily broken a tie or made a tie which was immediately then broken. You can't predict last minutes vote switches. If I had voted HB causing a tie and then somebody switched to HB and he he flipped scum I'd be really annoyed (and look scummy after all my HB defence).

I'm disconcerted with a lot of people's EoD's there

The people who were claiming it was TvT without voting them, the people who seemed happy to hop between either wagon without any actual reasoning, and the people who turned up and stayed on the HB wagon without making any actual effort to try to get him back into the lead.
