I think Jamie's town and is tunneling. Damo joining it was super scummy, and so was the way he left. I feel like Vecna should have known better, and I'm not entirely sure why he went back to Hamilton. Brain is hard for me to sort but I'm leaning scum. I have no thoughts on yoyo's alignment. Bona's vote/explanation seems pretty opportunistic.

I can tell you I certainly wasn't a fan of it. It seemed very lazy, very opportunistic, just like Bozo's vote on me did. Could Teacon be scum with Bozo?

Do you think scummates would be the only two people on your wagon for such a bad reason? I think it's unlikely that teacon followed his teammate bozo onto your wagon with that same rational.

Conclusions on teacon other than disliking his out of game opinions:

- Has he done that aggressively friendly noob questioning before? I tend to agree that it seems like a nice way to give a teammate an easy landing, but I know some of us (like me) just do it.

general thoughts, since I'm finally caught up to the present and gonna head out for a while this evening:

The first half of d1 is always nonsense, exacerbated this time around by thanksgiving parties and the like. NAI.

Balki et al made general "hey calm down" posts - all of which seem sensible. Half the players want to scheisspost for all of D1, the other half doesn't really want to play until D1 is over because shennanigans. Toxicity does not help town. Can we tone it down? It'll allow more rational thought and less anger-driven flailing. (Same applies for election politics, about which I'm fairly salty rn, so none of this is new).

Vecna looking towny, primarily for the engagement when he was catching up. The first sober voice in 20 pages.


@HB: do you actually scumread kgray? Why or why not? do you think she'd be a good daykill today?

@bozo/yoyo/vash - when are you planning on reading and posting more? what do each of you, individually, think of worcej so far?

@vecna @emc - I can only recall worcej as a GM, and not a player. Is he usually like this? why do you have the read you do on him right now?

-I think this post reflects well on Vecna and emc, because he's staking out townreads and buddying, and I imagine there's probably scum in one of the other groups (HB being a group of his own) that he references, since those questions are such empty softballs.
-He votes Neph's opinion on ND at one point, saying he agrees with it fully as a pretense to make a post about how he's too good to talk about politics while intimating clearly that he hates poor people. Town points for Neph. I don't think you parrot a teammate that openly.

I think you're on to something w.r.t vash's meta, but there's problems. Eliminating a lurker D1 is not a productive course of action. Talking about it could be productive, but ultimately you don't get enough info from a D1 lurker kill.


@vash - any thoughts on what ND said?

-This was the end of a big post to ND. It's another prod on Vash to engage, and a process-based defense against killing him. I still think Vash is one of the more plausible bussers.
-A couple posts telling brain not to provoke ND. I could go either way on it, but I think it probably pushes brain closet to the middle for me.
-He pushed damo on questioning Durga for not knowing how many scum there were but not HB for something similar. Good for damo, good for Durga, makes an HB/damo pair seem especially unlikely.
-I'd forgotten the bit where he jumped on HR for voting emc as if he hadn't given justification. I kinda think that makes HR and emc more likely to be town.
-He defended Durga repeatedly on the not reading the setup, so maybe undo the "good for Durga" from a few points ago.
-Bought Bozo's argument for voting for Jamie. Town points for bozo. I could see him voting a teammate like this, so no points for Jamie.
-The big EON post lists damo, HB, and Balki as scum. I bet there is a scum in here, (especially because two of them helped him survive D1). The real list will probably be useful later. When scum divide people into groups, they usually spread their teammates out.

-First of all, as a new player, the whole interaction between Bunny and Celaph about QT was incredibly suspicious. I hadn't heard the term QT before, but it was obviously a trap to get Celaph to scumslip. My personal take is that it was coordinated by the person that's allowed to day post in mafia chat (I'm not scum, I just read the rules). I think it's also possible to read it as null. However, I think it's a large stretch to read it as celaph definitely being town. I just looked back and the people that jump on the celaph town wagon were Durga, Damo, HB, and Bunny.

How would you expect a townie to respond to Bunny's question? If you expect a townie and a scum to respond the same way to a message, is not that the definition of NAI?

I dislike that most of your reads come from a two line exchange on page 30 and the votes with little mention of the discussion in between, but perhaps that is your inexperience with online play showing. NAI for now.

Okay this actually does feel towny. Scum!damo wouldn't defend his teammate like this and I think he also wouldn't prevent himself from voting a townie.
