Yes. Thanksgiving is a whole-day thing. Black Friday is the busiest day of the year for my work's systems so I'm on-call most of it. This weekend I had a lot of stuff going on and also it's the weekend we go getour Christmas tree.

There seems to be some misunderstanding because I'm not sure how you've come to the conclusion that I find no one sus. Perhaps I should try to be more direct.

My D1 vote was on Maniac because I found his explanation for the vote on Durga particularly poor. I also find Maniac's explanation for his vote on kgray today similarly poor. So far he hasn't responded to my question on his kgray vote asking him about his read on kgray. I find Maniac suspicious.

My D2 vote is on HB. I wrote in an earlier post (here: viewtopic.php?p=194636#p194636) about why I'm voting for HB.
To expand on that, I feel very underwhelmed by HB's defense thus far. Asked me about my vote on him, appears to accepted it and moved on. Asked bb about his opinion on teacon's last message, received a vague response about teacon hiding scum by not mentioning them and moved on. Also feel weird about HB asking for any feelings on Maniac's D1 Durga vote that both rdr and myself used to justify our votes on him. It feels scattered and that all doesn't sit right with me, hence my suspicion.

In terms of other reads that I haven't yet verbalized, I don't have great feelings about Damo and EMC. The latter for the really weak sus on the former (including a vote on damo despite being around at EoD). The former for their D1 Maniac vote.

Lastly, in writing this I realized that I should probably extend my question to Maniac to damo as well. @damo how do your reads of kgray tie into your vote for her? Notably that you said she was leantown last night.

Okay yeah, celaph is now a strong townread. I don't think new scum questions people voting for me at this point, and I think the focus on people's bad reasons for votes is really towny especially for a smart but new player who doesn't have meta to go on.

Regarding self-defense, I feel that energy would be better spent trying to find scum, such as my attempts are.

I notice you've spent a lot of today questioning other people's reads (and a big post looking back at teacon's actions), without actually giving any of your own - aside from voting celaph because he voted without giving reasons. Do you have any townreads? Has teacon's flip affected those? What did your look back at teacon lead you to conclude about other people?

A lot of the change is from teacon's last post, and I put my reasons in my post looking at it (2572/129), although some people have gone up or down on their own.

I townread, in order of strength, top down:
brain; his large EoN posts were solid even if he was wrong about teacon, although I still want to see post 3. Also very active

Kgray; I dislike their being a part of the 3 vote sequence on ND, but I dislike her voters more
damo; teacon called him scum in his EoN post (interestingly the same logic that celaph is using to sus damo)
ghug; is also active, but did the weird thing of refusing to explain why he scumread me in his post, but then turned around and laughed it off
HB: teacon called him scum in his EoN post, but I think him having wrong reads is excusable, if a little sus.

Balki: voted teacon

I scumread, least scum on top:
Vecna: this is more of a null read than anything else, but I don't think too highly of his liking celaph's post where he called maniac sus for not voting when celaph was in the exact same circumstance
Everyone who's not talking: We're multiple days in, and there are 4 people below 20 posts. At least two are lurking scum - probably yoyo and chaqa (yes i know chaqa voted teacon)

Jamie; self imposed low posting, and then not doing a lot with some of his posts.
Maniac: post 2797 doesn't feel legit to me, and he hasn't been talking much
Aaro; apparently has mafia experience but hasn't scumread anyone, and voted one of his townreads (ND)

Are you reading the game? I argued at length with Balki the last night because he felt it was unreasonable for me to scumread Flum for scumreading me.

yeah im reading, and still waffling a bit more on flum. I did like how he was all confident in how he had towntold enough after leading the wagon on teacon. And I got irritated arguing with him.

I feel like I've liked most of what flum has posted. He's so much less jokey than he was as 3p at least. I can't remember what he was like those two days he was scum before we had to reroll but I feel like he puts in less effort to solve if he was scum.

Granted, HB's choice to prioritize finding other scum as his defense could be a play style choice by him. I believe he said so himself. If these efforts lead somewhere, I could be convinced to change my vote. In the mean time, I'm concerned that the lack of follow up on his questions means he isn't getting anywhere.

Can you explain this more? You think he's looking for other scum, besides himself? Do you think he looks like he's scumhunting?

As of rn, her voters are Maniac, worcej, vashta, and damo. I did townread damo, but it's flat out wrong that I only townread those voters. I scumread Maniac, as you would have seen if you read the post in full.

Thanksgiving doesn't really have much to do with colonialism. Maybe it started that way, but it's a day to spend time with your family, eat turkey, and unwind. No need to be abrasive.

It has plenty to do with it. Enjoy time with your (limited subset of) your family (who you were already seeing), but don't deny the context.
