Well at least you are unique in your opinion that apparently I have too little townreads this game.Fluminator wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 6:24 amI've explained why you are already. You were remarkably rigid on ND as well for an eod.
Vecna is throwing a ton more shade and not townhunting like he normally does. He was around eod and didn't vote on any wagon, just kind of slunk back while there was a town vs. scum wagon.
Balki is hyper focused on people's opinion on himself when last game we were in together he was quite a lot more impressive lol. A little less scummy than you two though because he did end on the right wagon at least, and we were on the same page with Hamilton.

Not like I had announced I was watching a movie and probably not around for Eod, right? I just checked in for 15s on the bot and felt the need to throw out a comment.ghug wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 6:49 amOh I guess you did.Fluminator wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 6:24 amI've explained why you are already. The last Vecna point is the only decent one. Even your Balki reasons aren't the right ones.
"slunk back" eeesh

Ok. No questions for me yet on the bot, so I’ll continue for a few minutes. This wouldn’t help as Aarodactyl and I saw much less of each other starting when I went to college.Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 10:56 pmCareful making these sorts of posts, Bozo is going to post your entire college history nowaarodactyl wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 10:55 pmI've never played mafia with Bunny before, but I know him fairly well. And it would pretty in character to do that as either role. Also he would have shared the resources he did was either role as well. I don't have a read on him either way, but I would caution using those events as evidence for him being town.

You know full well that with any 1v1 vote where one scum is up on day1, scum will nearly always position themselves well, and tons of townies are gonna be on the bad wagon with shady looking reasoning. Especially so when the alternative is ND, and the scum is a good on a 6 player team.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Im actually starting to townread Balki for his defense here. Im sure he'd be good at the theatrics as well to appear "wronged" but this just feels all too genuine.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 6:53 amThis phrasing makes my handsome forehead crinkle too!Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 11:40 pm- Balki continually wasting his vote but then parking on teacon at the last second when it was too late looks much worse in retrospect
How did I “continually waste my vote”?
I voted my conscience on Hamilton Brian. Then when it was clear to me that ship wouldn’t sail, I chose between the two leading wagons! Isn’t that the opposite of wasting my vote? I only have one vote. I used it to tell you all who I thought was scum, and then I weighed in on the emergent dipole.
Hellenic Riot is a smart dude. I just feel like he’s trying to discredit me here.
I know I am having trouble talking about people who are not me. But I’m trying to understand why a bunch of smart people are pushing this incorrect narrative.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
This is the only vote you felt good about? If all leading wagons were town, I’d have wagered large that Balki was scum here. With at least one of each, I don’t know what to make of it.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 10:56 pm##vote Hamilton Brian
Only vote I feel good about.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
I just got to that point. Did Balki honestly expect a speedwagon on Hamilton to develop? Especially with the anti-ND faction not moving and at least two people (Flum and me) announcing we wouldn’t move off teacon? I don’t see “wronged” I see “sh*t, I fucked up and he won’t let go”. But I’ll read it in more context later.Vecna wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 3:34 pmIm actually starting to townread Balki for his defense here. Do you feel you have ruffled as many feathers this game as last game? Because thats the main reason im suspicious of you. It is very high on actions that you know people will like.ghug wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 7:11 amIn short, I look better when I'm scum. I do all the things I'm supposed to do, and I ruffle fewer feathers.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 7:03 amCan you tell me about your scum meta?
Do you sincerely think that (a) you have a scum meta that a smart person could identify, and (b) you expect that a smart person would think that you are unable to depart from your meta even though you are apparently aware of it?
That sounds fake.
I'm pretty great, but I don't think it's possible to completely replicate my town play as scum, so I largely don't bother. I focus on creating as much confusion and as many miskills as possible, and I rely on the fact that many people see me doing the "right things" and townread me for them. Flum has picked up on this to an extent in the past. He scumread me in my last scum game in part because I was too widely townread.
Getting ND killed yesterday as I did was not good scum play. I legitimately believe it was good for the town, which is part of the reason it's bad scum play, but it's found to be something people remember and look negatively on for the rest of the game. My laying it out like this is enough to make most people ignore the argument entirely, but I'd expect Flum to have arrived at it independently.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Wtf does this mean now that we know it was S v T? Would scum Durga say this to cover teammates who saved teacon? She has the “I hate ND so can say anything” cover.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Ive found a bunch of them as well, but im still having that feeling I mightve done that classic thing where I overestimate my ability to read absolute town thought process in the smallest of details (much as with teacon).kgray wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 7:40 amI think you're finding really weird and small reasons to townread emc and not doing that with other people.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
@ghug you have a much better read on her than I do (I don’t have any secret Durga tells, but I still need to ask my mom). Does the fact it was T v S change your opinion?
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Just going back to check on what time I actually checked in.
How are people concluding I was around at EoD exactly again?

It has to be said though, that town ghug is generally also genuinely surprised that people cannot tell the difference.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 8:26 amGood thoughts.kgray wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 8:21 am(1) I've played only once with scum!ghug (M60) but he was my strongest townread until ~D6 and I let him pocket the shit out of me, so yeah I think scum!ghug does play like a townie.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 8:04 am@kgray, assuming ghug confirms my paraphrase, what do you think of all that?
(2) Flum did correctly scumread ghug for most of that game, though, so I don't think Flum necessarily thinks scum!ghug plays like a townie.
(3) I don't think ghug voting ND is a huge towntell even though ND would be good for scum to keep around because I think scum!ghug would prioritize blending in and getting towncred over keeping around someone who was bad for town.
But I guess overall even if I knew ghug was town I wouldn't see how this indicates that Flum is scum. Flum scumread town!ghug for most of D1 last game.
I’m not so interested in what this says about Flum’s alignment. I’m interested in what it says about ghug’s alignment.
I think ghug is very hard to read. I think ghug is aware of how hard to read he is. It is therefore shocking to me that town!ghug would try to read anyone based on them not townreading him by early Day 2.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
This is a weird question. It implies Durga took the downtime when couldn’t post and read the rules finally, but didn’t read the roles. I guess it’s NAI, but starting to feel like she’s laying it on thick.

You usually use much more shallow logic as scum Bozo. You misrepresent facts, leave out the logical deductions and just focus on a simple thing that you think will look plausible as a reason to scumread someone.
So yeah, you claimed to have read the entire game. Why are you voting Kgray without looking at the stuff she has said about those people? Whether her votes and switches make sense with her stances?
