Am I acting like I’m in court? When people accuse me, I want more information. I am uniquely situated to analyze these thoughts, as I’m the only townie who happens to know I am town.

First, I do agree with HR's assessment, as I've said.

It does feel like you're trying to control the direction of discussion instead of let yourself be questioned here. I know you've been miskilled in the past for worrying about your image, which is I think is a similar case of you playing to your strengths in a way you'd do as either alignment, but it's also not helping us get a read on you, so we need to turn it on its head and get you answering. If you're town, I'm sure you'll convince us, and you'll still be able to learn things from our reactions.

What are the town Balki reasons for behaving as you did at EoD? Do you understand why we find your actions scummy? Do you think you do deserve town cred for voting teacon? Do you think your vote actually had a chance at changing the outcome?

I mean, I think it’s super simple. I didn’t really have much of a conviction behind anything. My deepest feelings (still somewhat shallow) were that Hamilton Brian was most likely to be scum, Durga was town, and ND was more likely than most to be town.

So, I voted Hamilton Brian when I felt good about that. I went to the beach with the Little Balkis. When I could sneak a good long look at my phone, I tried to do a bit of catch-up, felt like I didn’t like the wagons much, so I tried to scramble them up. Karat said she wanted to start a bunny wagon. So I started a bunny wagon to see what would happen. She joined it. Nobody else did. I made one more try to get people to join my on HB, as I recall. Nothing was happening, I checked the Peterbot, seemed like the choice was ND or teacon. I voted teacon.

I definitely felt like my vote mattered. It was an active thread, and it would have taken only one more vote joining mine to lynch teacon. Can’t say I was like dying to see teacon lynched, but I took a rather active step in that direction, so hard for me to see why I would get shade for that.

Do you understand why we find your actions scummy?

Not at all. I can see why you would be skeptical about giving me any town credit. And proactively saying “don’t give Balki any credit for that!” seems reasonable. But no, there is nothing scummy about voting scum on Day 1 during a close vote.
