Fine - Without teacon's flip, your play looks weird but it's hard to read any particular scum motivation into it

With teacon's scum flip, the fact you were apparently willing to vote him but only when it was too late to get him killed now looks a lot worse. Not only did you ensure your votes were useless at EoD (on multiple different vanity wagons) all around the time when teacon was tied for the lead or leading, but you then ensured your vote was on him at the end when it was too late. It now looks like a way to set yourself up for a possible future bus should it be necessary and teacon be up for the vote again, or simply as a method of distancing that could come in useful should teacon be a midgame flip.

Do you think Maniac's vote on Durga was good? Additionally, how does your read here change now that you know that Teacon is scum, not town as you read?

Also, I think you ignored an earlier question on why you switched back to Maniac after leaving the train?

A couple of follow-up questions:

(1) Your analysis seems to depend on your premise that my vote on teacon was “too late” and that I “assured my vote was useless.” Do you feel pretty solid in your belief that my vote on teacon did not put teacon in any danger such that it was “at the last second”?

(2) I’m trying to figure out if you think this is affirmative evidence that I am scum, or if you are just throwing cold water on the idea that I should get any town cred for my vote. So, let me ask this: have you considered the Town!Balki reasons for behaving this way? Have you found that you think they are less likely than the Scum!Balki narrative that you’ve laid out?

I just find it a bit odd that it turns out I voted for scum on Day 1, and you think that makes me scum. Like, you think I was going against my win condition to get town cred, but I am just really bad at it and so I outed myself? A little insulting.

Am I acting like I’m in court? When people accuse me, I want more information. I am uniquely situated to analyze these thoughts, as I’m the only townie who happens to know I am town.

It’s interesting, actually, as I think you thought my vote was cast in time to have an impact. I think you accused me of trying to tie it, or something. Which is sort of the opposite of the reason HR seems to be scumreading me for it.

Anyway, I definitely thought my vote had a chance to have an impact, when cast. It brought teacon to within 1, and there were still several posts between when I voted and the day ended. It totally could have been impactful depending on the actions of dozens of people outside my control. It just turned out that it wasn’t.
