ND has a complex wherein he sees himself as a Conservative Intellectual. He is a College Professor with several Masters degrees. His playstyle as town was famous for very long over analytical thesis reports that ate up monstrous page space.

ND was always very opinionated. He has a sense of pride but not a sense of belonging. In his feelings of being an outsider he is in some ways, a Donald Trump. He finds the society of mafia players to be a stagnant group of sycophants who coddle one another. ND has at times lashed out when he feels that his style of play is pointless. ND has a very me vs the world mindset.

As scum ND may try to replicate his townplay. He also gets bussed almost religously by his own team who finds him unhelpful and toxic. Scum is willing to get rid of their own guy if he comes into a maf chat hurling insults and marring the game for them.

ND so far has not played a town game. His efforts to act offended and disenfranchised came from nowhere with no impetus.

i dont see how you could townread the Kgray slot before, but have doubts now. She only recently started her towntelling process, but did so quite convincingly in a way ive never seen her play as scum (and this tell has worked every game since I discovered it).

Would be interesting to see if she has a clue what it is

My clue to identify town Kgray is simple, if I want to hire her as my spokesperson she is town. I am almost making this job offer.

My second point was because when you cut out your post from my reply, I misremembered the context and assumed it was Vecna who'd said BB and you interpreted that as brain.

But now this is even weirder to me that you used BB as shorthand for brain when I haven't seen people do that much...

I always reference Brainbomb as BB and I think most vet people also do it.

It was more of a pressure vote. His opening post about not knowing the start of the game seemed fishy to me. Like he was tryharding at seeming town. And then he disappeared. And then he promised he'd be around yesterday and wasn't.

I kinda s**k at hunting (as has been noted by Maniac and probably others) and it's day 1. Chaqa isn't his "normal" crazy D1 self, but that could just be the holiday.

Other impressions:

Worcej usually posts what I was thinking. But this time he's posting a lot of sh*t. It's much more annoying than he usually is, but maybe he was bored holding his tongue last game as GM.

ND is annoying, but nothing he's done suggests to me that he knows what's going on.

kgray is not her normal self. I don't know what to make of that. The problem with D1s in general, and ESPECIALLY a D1 during the holiday. She's normally active, pushing, responding (both as scum and as town). So I guess it is holiday?

Aarodactyl is roughly what I'd expect him to do either as town or scum. I expect he'll be pretty decent at this game if he commits to it. I have no read on him though.

Yoyo has not surprised me yet, I still expect the slot to change hands.

ghug seems a little off to me. I don't recall him ever making votes just because someone he didn't scumread annoyed him.

Well, since most of what I've seen from you is lashing out, and I'm not really here for that, I'd like to avoid it.

So far, I have seen ZERO, actual contributions from this person. Absolutely none. They plopped a vote on me because ghug was sniffing around about it. Now, they are hijacking this train of logic after someone else brought it up a page or two earlier. How about you contribute something useful to the game? No one cares about you repeating something someone else said. Say something in your own voice.

I should contribute something useful like cursing and calling people trash?

I voted for you because I think you're unpleasant and I'm leaning more towards scum on you than on anyone else so far. I asked ghug to join me because he'd already placed a vote for someone he didn't want to play with.

@celaph kgray does just scumread people because they annoy her. I have been railroaded by her more than once for that.

I’ll dig it up later. On phone. But from memory, he had maybe every 3 posts something less toxic and more insightful. Or something prodding for a read. I dislike him personally, but he seems towny to me. And I think people need to differentiate:

1) Town/scum in game play
2) personal preferences
3) anti-town play from distractions

(1) I have no idea what his town vs scum games are like.

(2) I do struggle to separate playstyles/personalities from my reads, but I don't think his level of toxicity is towny at all.

(3) Anti-town play should not be encouraged, even from town. And what he's doing *is* a distraction.

This is sadly kgray at her town worst. Not scummy, just tilted.

You agree with him that I've contributed nothing useful, and that that's scummy? And that I was sheeping ghug somehow, even though I voted for ND and then asked ghug to join me?

Honestly, ND has always been abrasive. I don’t think he has any prior relationship with kgray and I am not willing to dig in old games to confirm that.

I am with Bunny though - he is making some valid points, albeit abrasive, about several people in this game.
