Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Good question. At first I was inclined to ignore it. But it is a data collection thing. As I wrote a moment ago, it 'forces' me to rate my reads... not just pick my 'top scum'
I think that is valuable. However, I don't see that participation/non participation is AI.

I posted a few hours ago rehashing my night argument with some new info.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 8:50 pm@ghug. I have mentioned that I find your view that I am scum a bit weak. All you have written so far is gut feeling, really. I interpret that as meaning that I am not your top scum read. But is your bo-accusation something more than gut feeling? If you have already written something, I will dig around for it. OR you could just tell me here.ghug wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 8:40 pmYour poor reading comprehension is your problem, though I suppose it's also mine if I'm stuck communicating with you.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 8:30 pm
I'm not sure what you mean?
Is this an actual question or just more shitposting?
If you want to actually ask me something about Bo_Sox could you make your question clearer? You're very good at making yourself clear, as we established during the night phase.
I find bo's behavior very scummy. Have you come around to that viewpoint yet? If not, what's holding you back?

I am surprised you think that Bo-Sox would be the "lord and saviour" of any scumteam that he was on; I had no idea you respected him as a scum player so much.ghug wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 8:40 pmI not communicate so good. Last night, you will recall that I said this about Bo_Sox:
"Right now he's a null for me, and I think he's contributing a fair amount and helping the game along, but I'd like to see him solidify some scumreads and start to push them."
Today I have seen Bo call out Maniac's explanation of his D2 voting behaviour as bullshit (which I agree with). He has voted for Seth but it was a naked vote, and he has declared that he townreads Chaqa. I'd like to see more from him, especially in terms of being clear about who else he suspects, and who else he finds towny.
@Bo-Sox: Who are your top three scumreads at this moment in time, and why?

Ghug asked me a specific question about my read on Bo_Sox. This post was clearly directed at me, and did not mention Dargorygel.
Dargorygel chose to respond to this post by mounting a defence of himself.
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
I also do not like his D1 vote for the smaller wagon, with the reasoning of "making someone else decide." With 10 minutes until EOD I switched to Flum, and then seth, Maniac and teacon followed me. So people *had* decided. If anything, bo was the person who was avoiding deciding by keeping his vote on Bunny, who was not a viable wagon.ghug wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 6:59 pmMy bo post from last night:
He hastily concluded HR was innocent while we awaited his flip and was all ready with a caae on Maniac when he did. He said he'd open on Maniac and then dropped a naked vote on Seth instead. He's still not offering opinions on more people.ghug wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 2:57 amI just reread bo's day 2 in isolation. He posted 47 times. Here are all the concrete opinions he gives on people:
- "Yep, HB is town. Happy day."
- A series of very hedgey posts on Jamie (he says overexplaininess isn't scum indicative, and he says he doesn't feel forced and then points out a post that contradicts that, so I'll count it as something even if it's barely anything.)
- "I was thinking similarly about Maniac. He joke-voted for Jamie, then joke-voted rdrivera 24 hours into the game, and then joke-voted me shortly thereafter. What I mean to say is that while some of us waited on our role PMs to really start taking things seriously, he waited for his role PM and then kept not taking things seriously. It was weird."
- "On one hand, I'd expect town ghug to play better, less jumping at shadows and more focused on effective gameplay even if the answers aren't immediately apparent. On the other hand, I'd expect scum ghug to play better, controlling the narrative from a distance and allowing the town to manipulate one another with some subtle nudging in the direction he wants them to go. Here I see neither.
Ghug, are you town playing badly? I never thought I'd see the day."
- "##VOTE Maniac"
That's townreads on HB and HR, a scumread on Maniac, and hedged reads on me and Jamie. Everything else is asking people questions and then never drawing conclusions from them. Town bo would have more reads.
- "I am quite confident that HR is town, yes. Thank you for stating the obvious."
And although I don't like him voting seth instead of Maniac after his declaration either, especially since he asked Jamie if he'd be willing to vote Maniac, his vote for seth today didn't come out of nowhere. He pushed seth N1 and makes it pretty clear he scumreads the slot.

I guess I can see why you might think that. I had a primary purpose of asking if he had done a deeper dig than he did on me. Which was difficult to mention without mentioning his case on me. The only thing that I see that could be lecturey is his exchange with teacon about bozo not posting EON reads.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 9:07 pmTown bo often lectures. Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Got caught up to page 130 and am not going to be able to do any more until later tonight. I think there is a good chance that scum saw an opportunity to take hr out when he had some absent votes on him. It was a bad play for me to leave my vote there. Unexpected that teacon was the night kill. I thought he still had a good chance to be scum and that clears up a little more about the day one wagons.

I picture Ghug sitting in a leather chair, in front of a warm fireplace... with a half-smoked cigar and a snifter of old brandy... looking down his aristocratic nose while he speaks thusly.

What was the basis for townreading Seth in the first place?
