This is a bad idea, for I am not scum.

Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
@flum: It seems you can vote multiple times per day, publicly.
How about this
%%vote playername means you approve of something that player said. (townlean)
%%vOtE playername means you think that player is doing something silly/wrong/scummy (scumlean)
%%VOTE playername means it's an actual vote, rather than attempting to communicate from beyond the grave.
Vote for me if you approve of this plan.
Vote for me twice in a row if you want more options.

Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
I am fairly certain that I am on the same team as you; our team does not have a QT.
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
I got a new job, so theoretically I have more time for things.
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
This seems like bad gameification (specifically the case variation). I'd prefer something like once for agree, twice for disagree, just for the sake of my conscience.teacon7 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:24 pm@flum: It seems you can vote multiple times per day, publicly.![]()

Flum, you should vote for your top townreads and then vote Jamie again at the end to signify completion.

I agree with the first part of this but he should not vote me because I'm town. Please stop tunnelling me.

It's just to clarify the end of the thought. He can always move later.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:28 pmI agree with the first part of this but he should not vote me because I'm town. Please stop tunnelling me.

Maybe he could vote you at the end of the thought to confirm he is still willing to sheep you.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:30 pmIt's just to clarify the end of the thought. Ghug IS pretty tunnelly... but I am not sure that is AI.
I was not roleblocked. Nor was i nightkilled.
@teacon... way back you and I had an interaction about the Princess Bride. It seems to me that you were already thinking way back then about possible crumbs. I can not see how a townie would be rationally concerned about crumbs back then. But I can see how scum would. Particularly because scum know which PRs to look for. Care to comment?

I've been townreading you for most of the game, have you only just noticed?ghug wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:32 pmWhat made you decide to townread me?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:31 pmMaybe he could vote you at the end of the thought to confirm he is still willing to sheep you.

You seemed torn on the dumb or scum question yesterday and much more townready during the night. Why'd you settle so?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:33 pmI've been townreading you for most of the game, have you only just noticed?ghug wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:32 pmWhat made you decide to townread me?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:31 pm

Where did you contribute your thoughts to the ongoing discussion about these three that you watched throughout the day?seth24c wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 3:17 pmOut of the three I have only played with flum before so i’ve found that in general I watch those I haven’t played before more closely to try to understand how they play. Jamie, flum and teacon were all wagons more or less throughout the day so I had been watching to see how that progressed.
Where did you indicate your initial suspicion of Jamie?
How would voting teacon first and switching later have generated more information?seth24c wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 3:17 pmTeacon’s early posts didn’t sit particularly well with me but I didn’t feel as strongly about him as I did flum. I also felt that flum vs Jamie gave more information at the end of day, if I had it to do over I may have voted teacon first then switched later to get more information.
If your hypothetical do-it-over plan was to move to teacon and then to Flum, you must have intended to vote for Flum for some time. Why did you wait until after a deciding vote had been cast?

I do not think that scum Ghug would relentlessly tunnel me for such weak reasons. I think you're just bad, mistaken town.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:35 pmYou seemed torn on the dumb or scum question yesterday and much more townready during the night. Returning from EOD = after the day ended?kgray wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 7:38 pmDo you mean what about Flum drew me to vote for him? Yeah it was more about having stronger feelings that Jamie was town. I didn't like the reasons Jamie was being pushed (including Flum's case) and especially when he returned from EOD I didn't see much that was different from town!Jamie.bo_sox48 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 2:45 amThat's fair context. What about Jamie drew you to him, other than the fact that he was the one dude left you didn't townread?kgray wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 2:06 amYes, but nobody was pushing him or seemed to be suspicious of him at that point except for me and Rivera, who were already on him. So even though he was close in vote count, it didn't seem like he was actually an option for the daykill.
So that was part of why I left, and the other part was because of his more detailed explanation of why he voted for Rivera. Prior to that I thought it was only because Rivera was the vanilla role, and teacon decided that he'd choose that role as scum so therefore scum chose that role. But then he gave more reasons for why he thought it made sense for it to be Rivera specifically. I don't think they're great reasons, but it made me much less certain that he was just targeting the role rather than the player.
What were your expectations for Jamie upon his appearance late in the day, and how did he meet them?
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
So many things that strike you at the time, but you never post them at the time.seth24c wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 8:24 pmI agree completely, that struck me at the time and was one of the things that pushed me away from the Jamie wagon. Rdr can you explain?kgray wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 8:21 pmIt depends on how much he really thinks my feelings about last game affected my vote. If he thinks it was the main reason and doesn't take issue with that, then yes.
I'm slightly more concerned that he's giving bo town points for trying to shake things up and complaining about a runaway wagon when he was online 16 minutes before EOD and kept his vote on teacon, who rivera even admits wasn't going to be the kill, even after saying he'd join Jamie - who was a bigger wagon and (from my perspective) seemed much more likely to be the daykill.
If this is so memorable for you, don't you think this would be something useful to ask in the moment as opposed to saying nothing until someone else brings it up?
