OK, I will add you to the pile of players who have indicated they could not be scum because they did not read or understand the setup and therefore could not have considered what roles to select in the first 24 hours.bo_sox48 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 5:02 pmI don't know, because I have only glanced at the setup. I know the mafia pick some roles out of a hat and recruit someone. I know they have money or some shit to do things with. I would probably have recruited someone who obvtowned during the pregame, which from my perspective excludes Jamie, ghug, and Vecna, and gone into major debt to get some fancy toys assuming that we can all lurk our way to not dying D1 (which means that Chaqa isn't on my team).bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 12:12 pm@bo_sox

Can you please tell me what choices you would have made if you were scum and were making the decision for the mafia?
If not, can you please tell me why you can't or don't want to answer the question?

I am not going to be online at EOD.
One concern I have is that if Durga asked for a sub because she is too busy, she would be more likely to do so as scum.

I'd love this to be true just because we could then say Durga pulled a Chaqabozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 5:17 pmI am not going to be online at EOD.

OH YEAH!! I had a lot of fun baiting you as Wash, and then having to work around all my ground game when I was town. Reaver!Bunny was very upset with Pilot!Bunny.teacon7 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 5:10 pmWe played as reavers together in m52:

You don't remember this? We worked hard enough at passing the silly press rules that we didn't get caught by town so much as dinged on minor things by the GM. Fun game.

That's a hell of a lot of hopping through some hoops (sorry Bunny) to arrive at, but it might have legs. It's not foolproof but it's a good as any other vote thus far.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 5:17 pmI am not going to be online at EOD.

Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
I can't get past the mutual antipathy being shown between ghug and jamie. While I might think, "that's kind of scummy of you two," I also feel like there have been some contributions that make me think they're on the level.
I'm hot and cold on Flum being scum, but teacon has also come under some scrutiny. At this point I don't think they've necessarily acquitted themselves enough for me to say, "they're definitely town."

This would be the most spectacular way I get miskilled D1 yet.
I think it's pretty obvious why she quit...this game is insane. Honestly, it'd take less work as scum because I'd know something about the mechanics. This partial open partial closed format is crazy. It means we just have to read people. Which takes effort.

Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
Is it backtracking or just a resigned, "massclaiming is a bad idea; fine."
Re: M61 - The Mastermind's Revenge - Game Thread
I'd say such resignation was merely a subset of backtracking.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 6:03 pmIs it backtracking or just a resigned, "massclaiming is a bad idea; fine."

Re: M61 - Bozotheclown's social science research presentation - Game Thread
You conducted a survey and then drew some conclusions based on what you would have done, using the very limited survey results as reference data.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 5:02 pm
That conclusion came from what I would have done and confirmed by rdrivera and dargorygel as reasonable, but I am still allowing for the possibility the mafia went the way damo suggested.
I see. This is very poor work from a quantitative research perspective.
