Apparently I was not clear, I would like everyone to please answer this question:

What would you have chosen if you were scum and were making the decision for the mafia?
I would probably go:
Restless spirit
Odd-Night Tracker
Fruit vendor (the give the maf money? I think I read that somewhere?)
Double voter (provided the vote works more than once)

Frankly, the biggest reason is a don't like roles with limited uses, I'd be scared to use them until it's too late.

Important note, I did not do the math for this, I don't know how much debt it is, it may be bad.
Illiterate as well as innumerate.

(Sorry, couldn't resist. Only teasing)

Those who've played with Macca, is he crafty enough to fake this townslip?
No.

I think we should massclaim and speedkill the treestump.
I haven't read all the roles super closely yet but some we could lump together a specific number as "important" and some could claim that so we don't give away our precise good ones.
Why would we want to kill the treestump? It has less effect than other targets. And if it's because we know roles, I would think there would be others that the scum more likely have.
Which ones? Do you think scum will pass the chance to recruit? I am starting to suspect this "I don't understand the setup" act you are doing

I totally agree that Tree Stump is the most obvious choice to scum if they recruited, but I don't think it's worth to massclaim to prove this theory. Just have it in mind for later.
There's none in particular, but how does it benefit the mafia to have a dead person speaking? They don't need more info, all there is is just a possible slip? I could be missing something, but this role doesn't seem that powerful.

I do see now (after another look), that it gives +2 (which only strengthens my case that it's not a great role), but 2 doesn't seem that much.

I don't know about the others, but when you posed this, I hadn't posted for about 15 pages, how was I on your mind?
If it depended on who was on his mind it wouldn't be random would it?

It's impossible to be truly random. He has to pick from somewhere, and my name would not have been in an easily observable set. So unless Bozo just knows the whole player list (and even still), I want to know why I was on his mind?

Yeah...I wouldn't mind seeing a kgray/bo competing wagon.
But you haven’t voted for either? Do suspect one more than the other?
No. I also hadn't read any of the first 24 hours. Which makes it a little harder to read things in context. I'm mostly disappointed with the group not knowing what's going on after that time.

Hm. Maybe you're on to something, maybe not, but I'm too tired rn to go back and figure out the math I'm intuiting here. I wouldn't be opposed to someone laying out the long form statistical notation on this question, as I'd likely learn something about math in the process. Either way, it's time for sleep in the teacon time zone.
Don't ask for probability in notation. Every probabilist I know (I know a surprising number of them) all admit it's the worst and most confusing notation there is. They have all at one point or another attempted to fix it.
Probably

Macca uses they/them pronouns, and if we hadn't been talking about the number of people on the scumteam then I'd say no, and they're certainly town, but since it's been in discussion I suppose there's a *slight* chance it's fake.
Lol I didn’t notice this at first either but I don’t think it could be classified as a strong townslip. It would be way too easy to fake, or even do accidentally as scum.
What does your last sentence mean?

Uh I’m just glad I didn’t have to choose. Looks like the extra recruit is an obvious choice and that takes most of the budget. Other than that it’s probably keep away from town more than anything. Does scum gain money as the game goes on? How do they get out of the negative if they were to go negative?
Fake townslip?

Take a square piece of paper, fold it in half 4 times and cut along resultant folds. Write the 16 names on the 16 same size squares of paper and screw each one up into a little scrunchy ball. Put the 16 little scrunchies into a pot with a lid and shake up and down. Remove lid and select 2 scrunchies, open and read names. This is what Bozo did.

While possible, it seems unlikely that he would go to such lengths for such a simple statement.

I'm uncomfortable answering this question, as I don't want to give scum any ideas. I did send the godthread a message about this early on... you'll see I was mistaken about some mechanics. However, I will say that I would not have recruited anyone, and I would have picked roles so as to deny town investigative powers.

To clarify, you've been asking people questions. Firstly, about what they'd do with the $90. Second, what they'd do if they were on a scumteam with XYZ. What train of thought led you to ask one question and then the other?
The mafia already made their choices, how could you be giving them ideas? Does telling me what 3 roles you would have picked give anything away to the mafia?

Here is the question I had not responded to. The answer is that I used the bot to reference the player list, so the time since you had last posted was irrelevant.
