Not exactly. You'd kill the first person visiting you and then the bomb is gone.

I am sorry for making the post that ended up causing the restart, I probably would not have done it if I had not thought Fluminator might be a scum with a gun, or if I had known there were 2 different types of VT role PMs sent out.

You are Daffy Duck, the town bombmaker. Each day, you must vote for a suspect to kill. Twice per game, and only at night, you may choose a player to give a bomb, which will explode and kill the next player that visits the recipient regardless of alignment. But you do not want to get caught and exposed as the bombmaker, so after you give someone a bomb you will have to lay low for a night in order to avoid suspicion. You can only give each player a bomb once. In order to make your choice, PM both bo_sox48 and Jamiet99uk. You win when the mafia are defeated or nothing can be done to stop the mafia from being defeated.

I apparently missed a shit show, but yes I also agree that bringing the actual words used from a role post is indeed against the rules.

I thought that rule was more about referencing communication with the mods. Talking about the role PMs generally is normal because they're in the first post.

Well, then I'm sorry for also contributing to the incident. But I distinctly remember a ton of people (you included) talking about toilet paper as a reference to the VT role PM in M54, so I don't really see what the difference is.

Chiming in for two reasons here -

1. The reason we've historically had this rule and provided the list of all role PMs in the starting posts is specifically so this doesn't happen. Copying text from a role PM is NOT against the rules, in the many games I've played/GM'd/specated. Screenshotting is because it's a definitive sign that someone has the PM, but if you properly put the PMs in the starting posts, there's no reason not to quote role PMs. It's other GM communications that need to be prevented because they can be more revealing/gamebreaking.

2. I can play in the restart if needed. I had some stuff going on but it's all been resolved :D

Glad this was cancelled. For the record, Flum and I formally conceded basically as soon as we saw the GM response to bozo's post. We had been pinging Jamiet and bo for hours before EOD, so I didn't really care about anything by "EOD".

Also not going to join the next game, as much as I love the flavor. Only really joined to have enough bodies to get the game going, but I've got too much going on, tried to sub out D1 but thought better of it once bo mentioned having trouble finding subs.

That being said, I don't think I did that awfully for a game I probably only put 25% of my normal effort into (Bunny, I really was busy. The anchoring wasn't on purpose. I don't do that). At least not as bad as the nuclear-bomb-awful D1s apparently *every other scum but flum* had. I guess the only thing that has me scratching my head is why Bunny cop (Also, can I point out that it's HILARIOUS I called you Bugs from the get-go. I didn't think you were cop) would target me N1. I was going to ask Flum to lawyer me N2 and N3. Don't know what I did to merit that scan besides be absent (again, I was just slammed).

And for the GMs, this setup is too oriented towards town. Even with a full scum team, this is close to mechanically clear if scum don't hit a PR right away. I'm glad that the 3P was a freelancer and not a defender (or whatever the other role is). There should always be more scum than PR clears, and this was not the case. I would rather have roadrunner have an actual ability than clear a VT. And its crazy we had both a cop and a doc in this setup. Flum and I had dismissed the possibility because it was too strong a town.

I chose you over other scummier options (like Seth) because I saw your vote off wagon, and I didn’t see anyone else pushing you too hard, but you ghosting and me pushing you meant you weren’t likely to be a NK. So I expected the knowledge of the scan to be higher information intel.

I did not think what I did violated any rules. For one, rule 2 for this game states:

"2. All players are forbidden from posting screenshots of ANY game-related communications."

So adding in "or text comments" obviously changes the rule. With that change, it seems it would be a violation to even claim your role or claim VT if your role PM says you are a VT.

Second, I did not post any "text contents" from my role PM.

Finally, I believe we have had this conversation before during M46 when I felt ChippeRock had broken the rule by posting his entire role PM in the game thread, and you explained to me after I was out of the game why you did not believe ChippeRock had violated a rule.
