No... I said I'd believe it if all four of us flipped scum.Vecna wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 8:02 amWhy is it dumb enough that were contemplating it? Just 3 posts earlier you'd state you would believe it if you were town.Durga wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 4:51 amBozo - Why do you weirdly keep pushing your own statement as something you'd be down for when in all possible worlds you know it to be false.
It's dumb enough that other people are contemplating it seriously, but you know it isn't true. The only reason you'd want to go along with it is if you're scum trying to get miskills. Stop encouraging it if you're town.

I'm actually losing respect for you for pushing this.Vecna wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 10:09 amExcept 2 out of those 4 people he voted flipped scumsummit_fever wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 5:18 amAnd vecna didn't do much of anything night 1 while suggesting there was a lot of analysis to work through.. Then comes in day 2 really wanting to do bozo over for something that just isn't that likely.summit_fever wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 5:14 am
Because he started his suspicion of moscow when moscow went to his more serious vote of me, which seemed based on my unsupported vote of vecna.
1 of the remaining 2 is defending the other unflipped, stating a vague townread while noone townreads that slot
And 1 made an angry "joke" asking why Bozo just kept screwing over his team.
So why isnt it likely? Why is it more unlikely that traitor Bozo just once again did a dumb gimmick?
Firstly, I already pointed out that Bunny is weirdly townreading me
Secondly, it's obviously a joke. This is how I joke. This is how I always joke. How are you deliberately choosing to ignore that. The joke is that he screwed over his team last time too, but I wasn't even on it. So why would I be angry about it.
I think it's perfectly fine to scum read me for the fact that I've been mostly absent and have defended two people that have flipped scum. But to scum read me for this actual makes me want to flip a table.
Re: M59 - Duck Season? - Game Thread
I would now like everyone to stop derailing the thread with kgray's ridiculous theory. It's blatantly anti town to waste space discussing it vs actual scum reads.
Re: M59 - Duck Season? - Game Thread
I wouldn’t. My priors on bozo’s competency would still make it more likely he nailed the scum team as Town than gave up the scum team as scum.Durga wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 12:25 pmNo... How is that even possible that he would have nailed the scum team in like the first few hours of the game or whenever it was let alone you believing that. Why do you think this highly of bozo?

Bunny is using a comparison here, one is more than the other, no value assigned to each. The weaker you make Bozo's scum picking skill in this scenario, the greater you increase his chance of being the traitor, as in kgray's theory you seemed to hate so vehemently.

I disagree, and would like you to stop derailing the theory with the same defense. It's blatantly pro-town to follow a pattern that achieves town results. Granted, I already scum read Bozo, but your insistence that it's bad because "bozo is smarter than that"(?) doesn't hold merit.

Which makes a similar point.Durga wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 4:25 amWhy aren't you sus of me at all Bunny? Because it maybe implicates you with the bozo theory thing? Or are you trying to pocket be subtly? Heck, if I was anyone else and town in this game, I'd be hella sus of me rn
It looks to me like you've seen a decent plan which you initially dealt with in a normal way. But now that it's starting to pick up steam and you're on the run, you are trying to push it out with mostly meaningless points.
Even beyond the exact specs of this theory, a lot of people are getting worried about the mentioned players, and your method of deflecting this heat is not, in my opinion, a towny one.
You can't think up good intellectual reasons for why it is wrong because it's not.
Re: M59 - Duck Season? - Game Thread
What do you think I don't understand? I know what he's doing, I'm calling it ridiculous. Either way it doesn't matter because I know, and Bunny knows, and Bozo knows, that it's entirely untrue. I'm trying to figure out why Bunny thinks so highly of bozo.Macca573 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 1:00 pmBunny is using a comparison here, one is more than the other, no value assigned to each. Re: M59 - Duck Season? - Game Thread
What? I've flat out said that I understand being sus of me for not being active/defending scum. Not because of the theory. Thinking I'm scummy for not being my normal town self is different from believing I'm scum because traitor!bozo outted his scum team.Macca573 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 1:00 pmI disagree, and would like you to stop derailing the theory with the same defense. Nothing of what I've said is meaningless, stop framing it like that unless you want to point out particulars. My stance on this issue remains entirely consistent.
Re: M59 - Duck Season? - Game Thread
And no shit I can't think of a good intellectual reason to combat a theory that's ridiculous speculation. There is no good intellectual reason because it's just dumb.
Re: M59 - Duck Season? - Game Thread
I’ve played with him. My priors on him making a short term play to be recruited and giving up the scum team are near 0. It’s stupid and short sighted. And shows no ability to think about the long game.
Re: M59 - Duck Season? - Game Thread
You hear that, Goldie? Don’t hire Durga to defend you. She can’t make up arguments that don’t exist.

Can you spell this out please? I was already considering Tom being scum, the fact that Tom was killed by the jailer provides more information. The 2 remaining scum knew Tom was jailed and would probably be killed, so the scum would have a reason to scum read Tom during N1, but so might the jailer.
