Not sure there would be a change; this is a different set-up so I wasn't sure if there would be a "theoretical" difference. I think if all we have is the usual VCA and the posts, that's all we have.

Usually rdr and I think pretty similarly - in previous games he's even said I could be his spokesperson. I haven't played with scum!rdr (he was 3p in one game, but still hunting so that doesn't really count) so I think the fact that we're on such different pages is alarming. It might have started out as a misunderstanding, but we cleared that up and I'm still just not seeing where he's coming from. It's fine for him to make jokes, but when only 20% or whatever of his posts are serious and he hasn't said anything I've agreed with, then I'm concerned. Also, he's continually avoiding answering my question and that combined with all the jokes make me think he's trying to hide.

summit and HR both have this annoying tendency to not do fuck all d1, and make close to zero relevant posts. Its a convenient thing to hide behind in a game like this if theyre scum, but its not a good enough to wanna lynch them since they usually become obv-town quite easily after.

I don't believe you are actually trying very hard to understand my reasoning, because you'd need to read my posts carefully to do that, and the fact that you missed my question multiple times indicates that you are not doing so.

I don't see the problem with being "picky" and looking for small things. It's not like there are going to be any huge, flashing signs pointing towards scum at this stage, so small things are all we have to go off of.

I really doubt all the low posters are scum, but I think it's likely that at least one is. I'm most skeptical of Hellenic Riot. I see you've just stated he normally doesn't do much D1, but it's definitely a cop-out to say there's nothing to talk about. I find that, combined with his logical and even-tempered posts, to be somewhat concerning. Seems more calculated than summit, who just doesn't seem as invested.

I also thought Jamie started off townie, but lately I don't think I've seen much that enforces that read. And I'm remembering the one time I played with scum!Jamie and he was caught by a PR but was otherwise off the radar, so I think he's someone to keep in mind.

It's EoD in a few hours and we have 7 wagons in an 11 player game.

Come on, people.

On the flip side, this setup actually encourages late coalescing and/or last minute wagons, because if the scum can't react quick enough then their kill might be on someone who they thought was safe but actually got killed by a last second wagon. This only needs to happen once, in combination with our BP being hit, to get us an extra daykill.

Putting its validity aside this is a towny post.

Is it, though? Mechanics-talk is and will always be the easiest thing to fake as scum, because it's very easy to approach a setup from a mechanical perspective and work out the best strategies for it regardless of your role.

As for Macca - I personally read the way that he was so bothered about ending his D1 death streak as being townie more than scummy. I anticipate that were he to be scum he'd be crafting something a lot more sinister than that, and it's certainly not nice to die early every time you play Mafia

I think that's an interesting point. On the other hand, they gave a pretty decent explanation as to why. It seems they like to compartmentalize early and go from there. That was one wall of text. I'd say they'd be publishing a lot more if they wanted to discourage or confuse town. However, it's early days.

I'm not discouraging your vote on kgray. At this point it's as good, and knowledgable, as any other townie vote. If, however, you experience a change of heart, where would you vote go next? Would you put it on one of the wagons currently at the top?

On the current 2 votes wagons I would vote Damo as he is a small scum read. I will also obviously vote Macca over me, but he is null to me.
