The roleblock is highly surprising to me. I expected Ike to be claiming roleblock regardless of his role. I'm looking forward to Ezio's very hot take on the issue.

I'm not surprised. Scum had 4 options. Option 1 RB and kill me which would have been silly since no one believes my claim. Option 2 RB me and kill someone else, also silly clears me as town. Option 3 kill me and RB someone else, again silly because no one believes my claim or option 4 roleblock and kill someone else. Scum took the only option that didn't get rid of a schrodingers PR and didnt open the box to let people see inside

This is obviously not true. Why do you say that RBing you would clear you as town? It would not at all clear you as town. This would be an absolutely worthwhile option if you are indeed mafia, and it's only downside is that it wastes the RB.

So try again. Why is Option 3 silly?

I would know an awful lot more about this game if I was scum and I wouldn't class any of what I've written as either scared or shitless. I'm assuming EoN is end of night? Which would make EoD end of day. As I said before I'm not a shrinking violet by nature but I am still finding my feet. That combination may make me seem like scum at the moment but lynching me doesn't make a.lot of sense. Assuming I am scum then surely it would make sense to give me enough rope to hang myself and possibly others with. If I'm not then you just save the scum a kill by getting shot if me.

Though, it's worth noting, if you are town, scum think you have a high likelihood of being cop. So, whether or not people believe you right now, you would be getting scans every night and gathering some extremely useful information, even if town won't benefit from the information until you were to die and flip cop.

Or wouldnt they have used it for this reason? I think it says almost nothing about Ike.

But if its not CC'ed I think it essentially townclears Balki. Because theres no way theres a mafia team with Balki and Ike both on it; and there's no way a mafia team with Balki but without Ike sits on the RB for the relatively small gain in street cred versus the large gain of stopping a cop.

I think the RB says something about Ike because if Ike were Town, the RB takes on even more importance for scum, right? Now they have a person who is nearly 50% likely to be Cop, and they can use their RB to stop his scans without clearing him as Town. That’s a much more powerful RB than one used at near random to hunt for Cop. The fact that scum did not use the RB to block a potential Ike Cop Scan (or Ike Doc Save for that matter) is certainly probative of Ike’s alignment. It suggests that his PR claim is fake and scum no it.

That said, we’re not lynching Ike yet, in my view, because we’re just going to learn more and more about that slot as time goes on, and Scum don’t really have any OP PRs that we need to kill.

Sure, we're still not lynching Ike, but he looks damn bad, and that's worth discussing. WIFOM considerations need to take into account the benefit to scum of each action and weigh it against the benefit to scum of confusing us. If Ike were a town PR, letting him go unroleblocked would be very risky, and roleblocking him would in no way clear him, because we all expected him to claim regardless. If he's scum, they know he's lost eventually anyway, and that we're probably not going to lynch him until there's a counterclaim, so the roleblock has marginally more value elsewhere.

Basically at this point I'm 99% unlynchable and everything I say now can't be counted for anything until I flip.

I forget who asked, but option 2 does not clear me as town from everyone else perspective because if I scum then scum could have done option 1 or killed and roleblocked the same person and had me claim it. That's not the case, but as stated no of you will or should believe what I say until I flip

I'm kinda torn on that. My inclination in a vacuum is wait. My inclination given that I'm confident you're scum and we're going to have shit for info others are willing to use until you're resolved is to try to force you into it. If you're cop with a useful scan, you should obviously claim.


Does anyone besides me and teacher have any interest in solving this game? I'm really not down to lead town until day three or four. ##VOTE Peterlund
