Saying "I am town" has a weakness. Since technically *everyone* is a member of the community. So one could argue that just because they are *also* a member of the mafia, then it doesn't work.

Maybe "I am Town" would be different? It's unclear to me. And since our GM is a solicitor or barrister or whatever they're called, I expect him to give the lies every possible out.

I suppose it would also work to claim to be a member of Mafia or the 3P. But the optics are worse, and it is a compound clause.
