All parties other than the big two are minor in the US, so undoubtedly so. But they appear to have enough resources to put on a decent looking conference (technically somewhat better than a recent Theresa May showing that springs to mind). This isn't merely a group of people down the local pub who've decided to play politics.

But the fun thing is watching them try to live the newspeak leftie nonsense. The constant self policing and criticism of each other, with the way things are said counting for more than the ideas trying to be expressed. A nightmare vision of wokedom unleashed, tempered by the comforting realisation that there's not a chance in hell that people with these notions will ever achieve power.

I love the way you try to turn this into an attack on Boris. Very funny stuff. You can disagree with his policies all you like but he's generally acknowledged as one of the best communicators in modern politics. Still, I should never stand in the way of the left making numpties of themselves.

I am curious. I am not sure I would agree that Boris is a bad speaker (Boris deliberately tries to give off the disheveled eccentric uncle sort of vibes)..but do you not even follow the links to see their argument? Or do you say "since their political alignment disagrees with my own, everything they print must be rubbish and I can dismiss without any consideration"?

What argument, Flash? That New Statesman article can be summed up by saying they didn't like a particular campaign speech. That's not an argument, just an opinion. That the campaign in question proved to be the most successful in recent British political history surely provides some evidence to suggest that this particular opinion doesn't carry much weight.
