ghug never remotely suggested he was willing to vote me D4 - he explicitly defended me at the time, which is why he voted rdrivera.

There is a possibility that Temalund was saved but I do find it quite remote, especially as therul was around the entire EoD while posting and yet stuck on his vanity wagon instead of voting rdrivera to ensure that Temasek (or indeed me) weren't eliminated. That he was around and yet felt no desire to change his vote does indeed strongly stink of scum, and it's because of that that I think Temalund must be town - therul would surely have either bussed or saved, not done neither.

So what's your option 3 then?

I already analysed this. I think all the D4 wagons were town so scum felt no need to change.

I'm all for trying to get EMC to do anything, but it won't work and wagoning him on D1 leads to less information than other players.

Alright, time to explain townreads in a consolidated post, I suppose, since no one appears to remember them otherwise lol

First off, Foxc. Probably the main reason for mild townread on Foxc is that he didn't policy me, and didn't dive into spreadsheet hell and lurk, as ridiculous as that sounds.

Both of which are easy tendencies for him as scum - and the first actually gains gut townreads from a few iirc - and both of which he hasn't done so this game yet.

He also hasn't been particularly certain with any scumreads (or at least, certain enough to extensively push them), which iirc is also a town trait for him, since he's more certain of his reads as scum and is more aggressive about them.

As for Foxc. I'm under the impression that he has two main methods of playing scum - one of which is to lurk to kingdom come and spew spreadsheets, the other to be oddly confident and to push 'scumreads' as a middling town leader. He may or may not be more prone to algorithm based actions (policy, VCA, mechs, all the spreadsheet-able stuff etc...) as well, but there's not enough recent games to say.

At first, I townread him on the basis of his play being neither confident or overly lurky, as well as him passing on the opportunity to generate empty activity from spreadsheet discussion, which I'm pretty certain he would've taken as scum.

However, his slowly increasing absence from the game kind of takes it away.

He claims that he doesn't have the tendency to lean more into appearing as more formula-based scumhunting as scum, but it's something that comes off in memory. Perhaps I'm wrong, but the thing about spreadsheets I'm pretty sure about.
