What if emc is an important scum role though? There are certain scum roles they might look to protect more than others.ghug wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 5:04 pmBecause you and gold are the only identity-unknown players who voted emc day 3, and gold is right that it's unlikely nobody was busing.

No. I think it's fair to say I've been lurking the past few days. But your recollection of what I do or do not do as town or scum (with regard to spreadsheets or "algorithm based actions") is nonsense. VCA is perfectly valid, and notably if we'd listened to me the last game where I was relying on it heavily, we would have caught scum and possibly won.e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:56 pmEr, do you disagree with my (admittedly shrunken to tiny) townread on you?Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:45 pmI try not to devolve to Jamiet's level is disparaging you, EMC, but you sometimes make that really hard.e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 6:33 pmAs for Foxc. I'm under the impression that he has two main methods of playing scum - one of which is to lurk to kingdom come and spew spreadsheets, the other to be oddly confident and to push 'scumreads' as a middling town leader. He may or may not be more prone to algorithm based actions (policy, VCA, mechs, all the spreadsheet-able stuff etc...) as well, but there's not enough recent games to say.
At first, I townread him on the basis of his play being neither confident or overly lurky, as well as him passing on the opportunity to generate empty activity from spreadsheet discussion, which I'm pretty certain he would've taken as scum.
However, his slowly increasing absence from the game kind of takes it away.

If emc and HR were scum together, I'd expect HR to be angling for a miskill if possible, right? It seems very likely HR will go down once emc does.

Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
I recall differently. In particular, I recall the game where Damo and Worcej were scum, but looked perfectly townie, and I looked scummy because I had stuck my neck out trying to make things happen and got mis-flipped for it. You may be thinking of the game where I was watcher, though, they had to NK me there.

If emc and I were scum together, would you expect me to openly say I was voting to save him on two separate days?
Re: Mafia 57 Matrix
Usually Jamiet does these nice color coded charts that are very helpful, but he hasn't lately, so give me a minute.ghug wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:11 pmWhat does VCA tell you now?Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:10 pmNo. I think it's fair to say I've been lurking the past few days. I ask this because it seems to me like ghug is playing for today with little regard for the future, maybe because he knows we're on track to end the game in just a bit.

Goldfinger did one of those, and both ghug and I have analysed the EoD's. Why are you reliant on Jamie to do it for you?Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:23 pmUsually Jamiet does these nice color coded charts that are very helpful, but he hasn't lately, so give me a minute.ghug wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:11 pmWhat does VCA tell you now?Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:10 pm

I did one last night and only Nanook has flipped since then so you can work things out pretty easily.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:23 pmUsually Jamiet does these nice color coded charts that are very helpful, but he hasn't lately, so give me a minute.ghug wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:11 pmWhat does VCA tell you now?Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:10 pm

Hi! I’m at work rn so I can’t be long. Someone direct me to the posts on the cases against Fox and emc. I’m aware from the first 20 pages that emc ruins games?? what happened? I skipped to the last 50 pages because that’ll be easier to digest. Trying to catch up as quickly as possible.
In terms of actual substantial thought, I am not really sure who to vote for, but I like meta so I’ll share that I think the chances of the getting scum in the people who were replaced are probably lower than the looking at players who are calling the shots this game. For that reason, I’m looking particularly hard at ghug jamiet and Goldie.

Page 142 has my analysis that all the EoD4 wagons were town and therefore emc is probably scumYoyoyozo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:30 pmHi! I’m at work rn so I can’t be long. I think it's unsportsmanlike to either fake excuses (like being overworked or sick) or to question other people's excuses. Obviously it happens, because it's just too tempting for scum to justify lurking and because town want to explain themselves in good faith, but yeah, somehow WebDip mafia is farther down my list of things to pay attention, comparatively. So fuck off.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:29 pmFoxcastle is really making crap excuses for not trying harder, there. Shake my h.

You were literally saying I hadn't done a thing that I had done. Stalling for time to not answer Ghug's question and throwing a little shade on me.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:36 pmI think it's unsportsmanlike to either fake excuses (like being overworked or sick) or to question other people's excuses. I want to make a "fuck off" joke with a little bit of humor here (like "Sorry for the confusion, now fuck off") but I don't think the tone will come through, so, sorry for the confusion.
